2. I would prefer one card, one that has embedded into it: Your drivers license Your credit cards Your industry licenses Your Medicare card Your Flybuys card Your myki card etc etc etc Easy to do with technology now and readers can be set up to just read the portion of the card relevant to what card aspects they need...but then the Wallet manufacturing companies would go broke, cows and pigs wouldn't be needed as much, price of meat would drop, heck...why don't we just all have a chip inserted under the skin with all our info from our cards plus GPS location, pacemaker ability, cochlear capability, etc etc etc...you get the idea, would be good though (Now, where is my wife at the moment.....stuff the wife, WHERE IS MY 17 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER RIGHT NOW)

4. My wife's step father rebuilds Vincents in NZ, in fact a couple he has done are now in Museums so if you don't have any luck, let me know
5. Enough people, stop trolling and get back to topic
6. Just found it...it is called Cool Iris, thanks anyway
7. Years ago I found an application that scrolled through your images with the main image you were viewing in the center and other images in the list were on the left and right but smaller. So as you moved your mouse left or right, the images moved in the same way with them getting bigger and bigger to they got to the center. It was like a wall of images that you moved left or right. I can't remember what it was but I think it came out of an early Mac style of image presentation system and it sort of looked like this: Can anyone remember what the application was or any application that does the same?
8. Here's a solution for some lucky person, I am not the entrepreneurial type of person and this site along with Clear Prop "could" make a decent return for the right kind of person so front up with $100k (probably a 2yr 100% return) and you can have the lot, walk in, walk out, domains, Clear Prop shop, aviation stock, software, hosting...everything, and I will take up sailing. Now here's is a great opportunity for RAAus to own the biggest thorn in their side ;) or I am sure there is someone who can do it better because after 11 years, I am just tired
9. We do have a tongue in cheek Smiley
10. Nev, that is because you have been on the site for many years before the Likes system was implemented
11. A Poll has been created for you to cast your vote at: http://www.recreationalflying.com/threads/post-likes.127747/
12. and there lies the problem!
13. Then are you saying to lose ALL the "Like" alternatives and just leave the one "Like"... if so that would certainly make the database smaller and the site a micro second faster. The software has a single "Like" function built in and the variations of the Likes system is an addon that I purchased which can be removed to just leave a single "Like"
14. I believe it is the industry we are in. Recreational aviation is cheap enough that allows people from all walks of life to get involved. But you add to that it is very much an alpha male activity compared to needle craft. You also then add the 3rd dimension of keyboard courage hidden behind anonymity. A huge recipe for disaster which is why moderation on the site is so extremely hard and it will always be wrong to a lot of people but we just hope it is right by the majority. The site quit often pulls me down into depression when I open it up and I often wonder why I am doing it with such a large cost to my family and I personally including every month when I click the payment button for the hosting. However, I hang on to the belief that it is helping others and keeping them safer and in fact saving a life or two whilst also helping the industry as a whole. One just has to look at the pressure this site has applied in such events as the RAAus board restructure, the aircraft registration fiasco, the current Jabiru situation, all events that you, the users, have helped shaped the outcomes to what the majority of recreational aviators want. I have pleaded, begged, moderated, tried so many different ways with everyone to make the site better in the sense of the topic of this thread to where it is a full time job, without pay, and without that I believe this site would have been an extra chapter in the book Lord of the Flies. But after 11 years now I have run out of methods so what we have is what we have and only one person can change it...YOU
15. That video doesn't really have what I am after, it is more of a document template system and some docs on learning about creating a small business...I am way past that
16. People are already getting very rich from it but this is completely new and revolutionary and will leave all of them behind which is why secrecy is a big part of it at the moment. I once had a job many years ago as the "Business Development Manager" for a large corporate and they said at the beginning that if I come up with 100 ideas and only 1 is accepted and works extremely well then I have been successful. At that firm I did come up with a lot of ideas all of which could have been successful but one that they approved ended up being their most profitable service ever and ended up being 40% of their whole revenue. Another one also many years ago when I was in construction Project Management. There was a pipe that wasn't approved for use in Vic so I got it approved so the company I worked for could be the sole distributor. But, what I did was to set up a 2nd company under a trust of the owners children's names, who had a different surname, to the owners and sell the pipe to our competitors. No one knew that the 2 companies were owned by the same people. This way we could give discounts to our competitors of what we liked and anyone tendering on the same job as us would not get a discount so we could win the tender and keep our company going well. It just started off as an idea and worked because when the owners sold both business's for a huge profit they retired, and although I got a nice payment for my services, I wasn't allowed to work in the construction industry for 2 years under the terms of the sale agreement that I had to agree to. As the advert says, from small things big things grow
17. No, its not in Aviation or I should say that could only be 5% or less of it, in fact it doesn't need to have anything to do with aviation at all
18. Just phoned them, as I am currently unemployed they can't offer anything. Must be working and then can apply for $30k for startup and up to $500k for existing business enhancement. I would be looking for say a progressive draw down totaling $250k over 6 months with substantial returns (possibly 300% or more) in year 2 and on Basically, in simple terms, employment of 3 people, say $20k costs and say $50k in advertising. 3 months before startup phase completed and then revenue begins. Break even after 6-9 months and full EOY return is kept as retained earnings for further expansion. Year 2 and above is full ROI at 300%+
19. Thanks Mate
20. Does anyone know hoe venture capital works? Say you have an idea that you believe could end up being extremely profitable however you don't have the funds to get it going so is venture capital a solution or are there other, better ways, of getting an idea off the ground?

23. Don't forget that many people get mixed up between the glass screen and the actual digitiser. The digitiser is a much more expensive part and extremely harder to replace
24. Just the iPhone 5 and Galaxy 4 at this stage are coming but I am waiting for the best prices on other versions and then order them. Soon I will be able to say how hard it is to replace the Galaxy 4 glass when they arrive and I do my one
25. Here is another interesting bit...A very little known Chinese smart phone manufacturer has the 2nd fastest download speed mobile phone. But what is even more interesting is Apple makes the slowest upload speed phone and Australia doesn't even rate in the speed area http://www.zdnet.com/who-makes-the-fastest-downloading-smartphones-in-the-world-hint-its-not-apple-7000035282/
