That last but one para is why I don't trust anyone who professes to be religious. If Morrison is in control and it is his God responsible for his actions, then Religion is to be avoided.

Culling won't work. There are many old people who wonder why they are here, They are living in less than comfortable situations, with the medical and health care industries making fortunes from supporting them, and they don't really want to be supported. I have known many old people who would really like to be able to pass away peacefully, rather than have the indignity of doctors and all sorts of do gooders taking over control of their lives. No thought is given to quality of life for humans, but it is not acceptable to allow a pet to live in those same conditions. My greatest fear is that I will get some medical problem that will not kill me, but will allow the doctors to control me.

Latest from Scotty is he says if you want to get an Astra Jenica jab and are less than 40, which is not recommended, then go talk to your GP. Good advice I would think, but then he also says the government will indemnify the GP agains being sued for bad advice. That looks corrupt. To me. Ask a professional for advice on a health matter, but don’t hold him responsible. What I can’t understand is why Albo hasn’t picked up on this, or is it that Albo doesn’t really want to win the next election?

Talk of investing in this and that, may be good, but the government is already doing that. They find a problem and make a lot of noise about fixing it. This always involves putting vast amounts of money into fixing the problem. Somebody else also sees the problem and decides that the way to get rich is to be a problem fixer. That way they get the money the government is throwing around and sit back to enjoy it. Just think back to child care scams. Old peoples homes. Home insulation and so on ad infinitum. Now aged care is getting a boost, but for every dollar from the government I reckon 80 cents will go to the aged care home owners as profit.

I thought about going to Linux mainly because Microsoft is a pain. It seems to suddenly decide to update and gigs of download are used. The reason I am still with Microsoft is because I cannot seem to find out how to download the Linux.

Hydrogen powered cars don't have to have an IC engine, so maybe Volvo could produce one with a fuel cell. I don't know what the costs of hydrogen storage and transport are, but i think it involves high pressure containment to store enough for the production of realistic quantities of power. Green hydrogen is thew way to go, but our present government is not looking at that option as much as making hydrogen from gas or probably oil.

We could start by being honest in our dealings with others and looking after our best interests, rather than brown nosing the big world powers. We could also start to take an interest in what our pollies are doing, rather than saying politics and religion are off the agenda in polite society. How about getting rid of the stupid saying that if you cannot say something good about a person, don't say anything. That is what politicians rely on. Plus refusing to answer any question. If our media reporters chased politicians for an answer we may find out what is happening, but the pollies have the media worried. If they question too hard they are afraid they will be excluded from the circus. What we are really lacking is honesty and sensible thinking.

That joke predates Peter Cosgroves generalship.

The health of the nation is obvious to anyone with eyes. Half of us are obese. Very few are slim. A large proportion seem to be unhealthy. Go to the doctors and you will be asked what is wrong with you. I go for an annual checkup and they seem to be amazed that I am not sick, but they never think of asking why I am so well, just can't believe that I don't need medication. They would have no idea what I drink or eat and only a vague idea about how active I am. Funny thing is I seem to be pretty well preserved, mainly because I steer clear of preservatives.

It is good for us to be fed poor quality water and even poorer quality food. Even better is to provide water so foul tasting that everyone either buys bottled water or Coca cola. Poor food means poor health and an increasing medical business means a higher GDP, which is how our governments judge quality of life. A higher GDP means everything is going well, so poor health is good, so is high prison population and no end of other retrograde things.

I bought my first house when interest rates were increasing. I sold when they got to about 12% and built my next house. Now my grandson has bought a house and interest rates are really low, but the low rates mean that buyers can afford to pay more. What happens when rates go up. The banks foreclose, young people lose their homes. Then the banks dribble the homes back onto the market in a controlled way to control prices. Lovely. For the banks. In Gladstone Qld, the market collapsed when the gas plant on Curtis Island was finished the construction phase. Hundreds of workers out of a job, many left town and the banks foreclosed on a lot of owners. They waited with empty houses all over the place and trickled them back onto the market. Prices now are nearly as high as they were in the building boom. Many young people have lost thousands and marriages have broken up. I have done OK as a bank shareholder. The banks are Morrison mates and that is the way our government is handling the situation. make it dead easy for the young people to get into debt, so that they can be ripped off.

Its this green electricity. So much stronger than the old coal electricity that tools burn out. Thats my theory.

I wonder where we are really heading. There does not seem to be an aim in the vaccinations. What are we trying to achieve? Is it complete herd immunity, or is it a reduction in the symptoms to keep us out of hospital? If we just reduce the symptoms, what is to stop the virus changing and becoming more aggressive? What do we do if that happens? Have the experts thought it all through, and are they happy with their deliberations?

I am in a National party electorate for federal and state, but I reckon that will change at the next federal election. Our useless member is not standing as he has enough trough time to retire. Our popular local city mayor is standing for labor and I reckon he will get in. Labor don't impress, but Libs and Nats are both untrustworthy and incompetent. Oh for a few more independents, but the expense of running an election campaign is horrific.

I cannot see what the problem is, if religious groups try to stack a political party. I have no time for religion and wouldn't trust a highly religious person as fat as I could throw him, but why shouldn't they try to influence politics. The real pity is that the average person will not get engaged with politics and just about believes anything they are told. Politics, religion and sport are all seemingly above the law and it needs people to question what is done in their name. Above it was said that Scomo was a Pentecostal and as far as I can see he is a true believer. I consider that to be a good case for endorsing my mistrust of religious people. I certainly do not trust him. What he comes up with in his free trade deal with the UK will also demonstrate why I mistrust him.

The Qld national parks don't use stealth bikes to look for weeds, nor do they ever see the weeds. I have seen acres of what used to be open grazed grass and now is acres of lantana. Nat Parks don't want cattle in the parks, but they will not do any weed control. I believe similar is happening in the Snowy's, but that leads to Snow Gums being burnt out.

I haven't been in those cold temps. but when I was in the English army and stationed at Ellesmere in Shropshire, we had the walkways completely enclosed in Ice. It thawed just enough in the day to run down and freeze int a stalactite formation. We had no fuel for our heating stoves in the billet. typical of that army. We had no lockers so hung our battle dress on a nail in the wall. One day a bloke grabbed his BD and pulled, leaving the back frozen to the wall and only having the front in his hands. That is when we took matters into our own hands and raided the fuel dump. Britain is mot really cold, but the high humidity makes it seem much worse. Later I used to drape sacks around the bonnet of the Fergy tractor to deflect heat back to me when i was ploughing in winter.

I have a glamorous young wife, at least that is what I see, but she is an octogenarian.

OK I have just discovered the joys of an electric chainsaw. My new small Stihl electric is just great and the old big petrol Stihl sits lonely in the back of the shed.

Thats global warming. I have never known it so cold here. I lit the fire in the house on 17 May, previous years it was never before about 28 may. Then it used to go warm again till mid June, but so far it has been a fire just about every day.

The Australian dairy industry has just about collapsed over the last few years. The big dairy companies have screwed the producers so much that they have given up. Even the milk you buy in the supermarket has little to do with milk from cow. It is more like chalky water. Cheeses would be a good import for Australia, I remember getting Shropshire Blue on a trip back there and it was good. I lived in Shropshire, milking cattle and had never heard of Shropshire Blue, but then I never tasted a real steak until I came here, even though we fattened beef on the farm. Too expensive for us to buy. I think one of the sticking points for selling Aussie beef in the UK is the fact that an awful lot of it is lot fed and that is not top quality. Wheat would be a good buy for the poms as they cannot grow good hard wheat for breadmaking there.

One thing you must admit is that trump has been a great role model, at least he has for Scomo.

Our government is very good at saying how good it is, but when you look at what they do it becomes apparent that they are good at stuffing up. If we had to rely on the federal government, we would be in a similar position to all those European countries, The government declared that old people were at risk, but they decided that there was no need to do anything about that risk. Blind Freddy could see that if oldies in care were at risk, the first people to vaccinate were those who looked after them, that is even before vaccinating the oldies. In a similar way blind Freddy would have seen that our quarantine system was poor, because workers were going in and out of the quarantine facilities and into the general population. There is still no move to provide real quarantine for the remainder of this pandemic and for future needs. Blind Freddy for PM even his dog would be a better bet than thee PM we have.
