    My aunt had a huge sign on her loungeroom wall which said Mit den tigre e tanken. I don’t even know what language that is, but it had the big tiger picture and must have come from a service station.

    Anyone who creates and lives in an enclave, wears identifying garments and speaks another language is always going to be singled out and victimised. This goes for any religion or creed. Folks who integrate, as did the Greeks and Italians in Australia, become part of their new community and are loved.

    We had that rule for a heritage building extension, so I had to rush around with a metal detector and shovel before the builders arrived. I found bits of several mouth organs and a shotgun all probably 100 years old.

    A mutual friend has offered a couple of time to take me down the road to meet Facthunter, but I haven't taken it up. I know others on the flying site, but not here. I do consider this part of my social life and, since Covid, I have been avoiding groups other than my Aero Club, which is my main connection with the civilised world. I would miss this site if it folded.

    I am always logged on. I have checked! I saw Octave here a couple of days ago. But we need to attract some new talent, most of us have been here since the site was created and we were the active discusses of shite on the other site. Not many have crossed over since and few outsiders. ian was talking about reintegrating the two sites, that might help.
