Here's a funny thing. My daughter rang this evening. She is staying in a B&B that is a converted church, and was sitting beside a stained glass window donated by our family name. I told her it was donated by my grandparents, that was the church we attended when I was young, but I had forgotten where it was.

The Reserve Bank of Australia sold Australia's gold reserves in 1997. The RBA reduced its gold holdings from 247 tonnes to 80 tonnes, netting approximately $2.4 billion from the sale. This decision was made due to the cost of holding gold and the potential for higher returns from other investments. Clever, weren't they? Today that 167 tonnes would be worth $26.9 billion.

This morning the Age gives the latest IEA forecast that under current policies global oil and gas consumption will continue to increase to 2050 and beyond. Coal consumption will peak in the 2030s. Those are realities that Albo should consider when committing us to immediate sacrifices that the rest of the world are not making.

On Trump and America I agree. China is a 'developing country,' and they say they will always be a developing country. Under UN rules China can do whatever they want. They don’t have to adhere to any binding targets. That’s the official Chinese position. They are building wind farms and solar farms, but it’s a drop in the ocean compared to their increasing fossil fuel consumption.

The greed began with Al Gore, at least that is where I first saw it, when he planned to make a fortune trading carbon credits and made a movie to scare us into buying them. The whole climate industry is about dollars, making money for big, vested interests, and about Russian and Iranian and Chinese propaganda and dark ops to destroy the west. I have solar panels on my roof - that is not what this debate is about. Chinese coal consumption increases every year and will continue to do so. They are laughing at us.

Then read today’s Australian with heading about gross exaggerations in the climate change report. But of course …it’s Murdoch, so you won't. Why can't you guys see a big political lie when it is so open and brazen? Israel has citizens of many faiths, they are all supported. Their enemies lie outside their gates. I am incensed at the lies and distortions promulgated by the antisemites.

He is the only world leader that I would vote for at present. He is defending his people and ignoring the crap that others are talking about him. We need leaders who will do that. I cannot comprehend how antisemitism has risen again after all we know about its history.
