  1. I didn't expect Supercheap to be selling headlights that were only suitable (& legal) in LHD countries such as USA and Europe. It pays to double check everyting!
  2. Europeans have not had to follow seasonal food routes for many thousans of years. Basically since they developed animal husbandy and farming. So not a fair comparison. I have to agree about the many Australian indigenous languages. It pretty much proves that there was actually not much interaction between tribal groups. However, such details as language, travel habits, and food sources really are a sideline when it comes to the topic of 'sovereignty '
  3. Yes, been caught with that before. Bought a pair of 7" headlights from supercheap and didn't figure out why I couldn't get them aimed properly. There was tiny lettering embossed on the glass - LHD.
  4. It's not like you to tell sexist jokes.
  5. There is that point, but at the same time there is the issue of 'songlines' which is the use of song to teach and recall the navigation information essential to travel great distances beyond the tribal back fence - across neighbouring territories, and informing where to find water and food along the way. Nomadic? Separately from the wandering, I question the liklihood of propagating crops when travelling on foot, limited to what each member can carry. A handful of seeds is unlikely to get far. If it was done, wouldn't we find the same common food plants around every waterhole and other suitable patch?
  6. For proof....see the USA
  7. 07 outlander. She has cateracts. I have polished her eyes a couple of times. New headlights have always been around $700 ea. But in US they are half that, then add $200 'freight'.
  8. The Cambridge dictionary does not mention 'raids'. "a member of a group of people who move from one place to another rather than living in one place all of the time: " So, despite it hijacking my monika, nomadic describes the early Australian indigenous peoples.
  9. Couldn't find Cheap replacement headlights for our Mitzi. Cheap replacement Chinese clear plastic lenses are $100 ea.but I'm not sure they would last as well as the originals
  10. But some are more rank than others.
  11. I don't care. I'm still not giving up food. My mum once told me 'If you don't eat, you don't shit. If you don't shit, you die.'
  12. C'mon Jerry. Catch up. OME's renovation is half finished already. That only leaves him 90% to go.
  13. The point is, each AI is still learning. It is young but gradually it will learn to spell as poorly as the rest orf us.
  14. Well A-I is here. Numerous versions are active. Now that it is here, the AI tiger can be said to be out of it's cage. It cannot be 'destroyed'. There is little possibility of controlling it for the age old reason... 'Who watches over the watchdog?'. Now that this potentially dangerous product is with us, we must do what has allowed humans to prosper so well up to now. We must adapt to the changing world around us..... Look for risks, and personally avoid them. We do not have an IT god to trust, to look down from high and protect us from nasty IT. There WILL be people using technology to further their own nefarious agenda. And ther will be good people who use it for good outcomes. It is up to the individual to refine their BS detectors, and discriminate between good and bad. These new systems make that harder than ever.
  15. That can cause a bad reputation for punctuality.
  16. Straight through to the catcher!
  17. I recall the year that Queensland proudly announced they made a profit on the Brisbane rail system. So it is possible. It was later revealed they achieved this by selling off the rolling stock, and leasing it back from the new owners.
  18. VicRail ? Back when they renamed Metropolitan Rail.... "Metrail", I wondered what they were going to call the Country Rail system.
  19. To quote a unforgettable ex prime minister.... 'It's not a race, It's not a race,'
  20. No mention of the womenfolk, huh?
  21. Welcome to the forum, Asymeo.
  22. Let me see.... didn't someone once walk in the desert for 40 years? And wasn't that a desert that you can cross on foot in a week? He must have been using google maps.
  23. Take it to a court. Then there will be a precedent
  24. Well at least he's taken the tampon off.
  25. Great! I'll vote for her husband!
