The real story of 2015 will be the Liberal party falling to pieces the same way that the ALP did after Rudd was deposed. Imagine if you where loyal to Abbott (only because he was the leader) and that now costs you a position to someone like MacFarlane (who was facing a demotion thanks to a reshuffle to get rid of the bad performers dragging the party down) now getting a promotion. I'd be furious.
Turnbull has to reward disloyalty and incompetence.
But if you reckon Bill has problems, apart from the polling, I would like to know what they are
bombing Syria was the last real indulgence of the party, everyone in the back bench is worried about losing their seats. Its the bad leadership, primarily selling out to corporate interests, that made Abbott and keeps Shorten unpopular.
its been very enlightening watching the true believers have their smugness stripped away by Malcolm's unbridled ambition. Mal knew that there would be no second term for the Abbott government so get in whilst you can and try and minimize the damage going into the election.
Politics in Australia is now largely driven by political donations from corporations. There is no real difference in the direction the country will end up as the corporations seek to bleed every cent out of the country.
