RR has it's own farms and pedigree bovines , just to keep their leather in pristine condition . Hence no barbed-wire , or even ' raspberry bushes ' . SUPPOSEDLY , the best leather in the world . My " Italian Leather " lounge suit only lasted 4 or 5 years before the arm-rests had holes in them . Very thin were it had to be shaped over the " arm-rest " . spacesailor PS. : who gets to eat the meat , from the world's most expensive beef .

OOPSIES again . Just not use to high mileage figures. Both the Tesla S 85d & our Mitsubishi Pajero are 200, 000 KLMTRS. 225314 spacesailor

😭 I missed buying a nice , red , model S 85d tesla . One owner , immaculate còndition , but with high mileage , Ten years of travelling, Newcastle to Sydney five days a week . 110,000 Kmtrs with lifetime of free tesla super charging. Iv'e just topped up our Pajero $ 75.00 . For half a tank . As an asside our Pajero has 125,000 on it's odometer. spacesailor

My cheap electricity has gone from 32 c p Kwh. and is going ( according to Red energy ) , 39.somthing , per Kwh . So 40 cents per kwh to charge an ev will not be that cheap . ( 40 c, p,kwh into a 60 kw battery. tesla S 85 kw ) spacesailor

At one time the poms came here for holidays ! . Now anytime more than 30 days should be a government paid, sentence in an over-sea's prison , which ever country that needs some money for locking up our criminals it was done for Australian " criminal immigrants " . . spacesailor

But !. To buy one. Even if you don't need a second one is a waste , if you dicard that freebie to the rubbish bin . spacesailor

Or, an " air-cooled " two-stroke. I once parked behinda VW beatle ( air-cooled )at a ' ski resort ' and was roundly told-off, " your block will freeze & crack at this hight, with it's very low temperatures " . So I had to drive a mile back down the mountain to the ( common man's ) carport . No problems with ' water in the sump ' or ' Freeze cracked block ' . spacesailor

All IC motors create h2o ! . When cold the piston will not have expanded to seal the bore . That's the big problem of short trips . Then that steam vapour condenses onto the still cold metal And also onto the cold oil . Then that condensate sinks to the bottom & stays out of the heat . Awaiting the return trip to add a little more. my oil is nice & clear , so no worries . spacesailor PS. : A smaller motor , than my 4lt V6 , Would help to warm-up as less cold metal ' mass. ' to heat .

I must check those ' revs ' , as they were only a guesstimate . But the car will stay " all alone " , locked up , in the garage , the battery looses a little bit daily by it's ' alarm system ' and all the electrical gadgets. It's one reason to go ' electric ' .no warming up , & getting a sump half-full of water . I didn't think that I had ' overfilled ' the sump after the last oilchange !, But the oil level is above the full mark now . spacesailor

Use a doll . A barbie doll will confuse them . And they're cheap as chips at " op-shops " . spacesailor

Check the angle of his hips !. I couldn't manage the slider as there wasn't any leg strength to push the foot forward . Also I did enjoy the attention. LoL Nice new hip ! , so no attention. spacesailor

Welcome to my world . It's getting faster as I'm getting older . It takes twice as long to get my socks on , or walk a couple K's. Than it did , before you were born . LoL spacesailor

Celebrating Positives (offset of the Gripes Thread)
spacesailor replied to Jerry_Atrick's topic in General Discussion
it's, still an insurance scam here in Australia. NRMA has a higher policy price for pensioners !, Because Pensioners don't pay full registration cost . spacesailor -
BUt at 3,000 revs it won't get the high 'amps' . Or the 12 minutes trip doesn't charge much either. I'm not rural, but relegated to that mandatory 50 k maximum speed . PLUS those five red traffic-light's . Oh , I do miss that ' open road " to anywhere. spacesailor PS. : Karumba is calling

Greening the Outback - The Bradfield Scheme Reassessed.
spacesailor replied to old man emu's topic in Science and Technology
Someone , in far north Queensland, tried to make his own 'mega-dam ' . Lost heaps of money to the humongous fines for not doing things to suit the environmentally sudo politicians. Even to clear ' swamp land ' & stop the mozzie plague for the towns folk . Cost one guy $ millions in fines . But it's great staying there now , plus the marina is good too , that he made . spacesailor -
They do. But at higher revs you get heaps more amps . I haven't had a long drive for along time . It means. More oil changes , because the oil ' on the dipstick ' is getting more each month . Not less, ( water adding to the sump reach shopping trip ) . spacesailor

Not true. I drive my " tiptronic " automatic Pajero like a manual ! . Why ?, short occasional runs leaves the battery a little less charged each time , changing to lower-gear gives a little more charge . so smarty uses the gears to slow-down , to navigate roundabouts . & Roll to the stop-light , without using those nice new brake ' shoes ' & Disk-pads I replaced this year . spacesailor

I have the chance of a 2015 Tesla 85 Sd , one owner with high ks 210,00 , ( Newcastle to Sydney commute ) . Immaculate condition. Every one around me say no . Too old at ten years , & the battery could fail in a few years. No way could I afford a newer " up- market " electric car . So, I leave the money for the " kids inheritance " . I'd rather buy a nice last car . spacesailor

What about the little dinosaurs?
spacesailor replied to old man emu's topic in Science and Technology

I'm going to look at a 2015 Tesla S 85d . Alwheel drive , with " don't run over the peasants " technology. At my age I need all the help I can get . Ten years old . And free " supercharge " on this model. ( not on yours of course ) . Just looking at my 1st pev . It's hard to find were the supercharge stations are , as most seem to be in the CBD . My grandaughter bought a new MG hybrid & seems happy with it ! . But the rest of the family are against me , having another car , even though I drive The 4 Lt pajero . spacesailor
