No problem with disagreement Bruce! My point is simply that citizenship by birth is a happy accident. We have many people born in this country who are a burden on the criminal justice system their whole lives. Can we deport them too?

If someone has permanent residency, they're an Aussie. Simple as that. If you want to say that someone's not Australian because they don't like the laws, or the government, then you can probably include most true-blue bogans from <insert dodgy postcode> in that lot. Splitting by country of birth is just nit-picking.

Don't expect the Murdoch press to get any better under the heir apparent either. Apparently Rupie is in court somewhere out the back of nowhere (to avoid journalists) trying to get the family trust removed so he can rewrite it with all power to make decisions about the news empire going to Lachie. This is because the other kids are a bit more progressive (ie "normal") than Lachie who's a chip off the ol' block, so if Rupie wants his "news" empire to continue with a decided lean to the right, he has to remove their voting rights, otherwise the news could become (gasp!) balanced.

Town near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria. We had a lovely winter holiday in Uffing, close to there. Before we left, one of my workmates looked up our destination and saw that town nearby. No matter how much I protested that I wasn't going to Wank on my holiday, they didn't believe me.

Latest I've heard on motive is that the shooter possibly just wanted to make as big a spectacle as possible. He'd been researching school shooters, was bullied all through school, etc - the classic profile of a mass shooter. Killing Trump would have caused the biggest news in the world, so that was possibly his goal.
