She must love that photo.

Teal candidates aren't happy. But yes any action to limit political donations is a good start.

It's like that performance where the whole orchestra gets ready then sits there NOT playing for 10 minutes. Jeez, I can write that music. In fact I'm doing it right now.

Well known personalities who have passed away recently (Renamed)

Ah, I heard Gina talking about her grandmother and how she was ahead of her time. Didn't know about her relationship with Leonard Cohen though. -
I don't know much about art, but I suspect that if it needs an explanatory note then it's not very good.

Just saw on the news that the "duct taped banana" artwork will be sold by Sotheby's and is expected to fetch up to $2.2m. (For those who haven't seen it, this "artwork" is a banana taped to the gallery wall). I'm thinking of selling forgeries in DIY form - a banana and a roll of duct tape. Only $10,000 per kit, postage included. Any takers?

Bet he's popular with the ladies. What a charmer.

Can we send them towards Mars without a spaceship? Maybe one of those circus cannons. Without a net.

Where were the other 8 players?

Only a moron like Trump could look at what Musk did to Twitter and think it a good idea to let him loose on the government.
-
Not only that but there's a change the arsehole could choose up to 5 supreme court judges during his term. Watch it go even further to the hardline conservatives. I'd hate to be a woman in the US. Already some misogynistic arseholes are saying stuff like "your body - my choice" on social media. I do feel really bad for anyone who voted for Kamala. For the rest though, they made their bed. (Or as Joh Bjelke-Peterson - Australia's nearest Trump equivalent - said, "You cooked your goose - now you have to lie in it".)

I agree with Jerry - just because you have your indicator on, doesn't give you the right to move into the lane when there is traffic already there or coming up at speed. In their defense though there could have been a blind spot - but if they were driving properly their head should have been on a swivel and they clear that blind spot. Not sure if the motorcyclist was hurt but he had a lucky escape. I did a similar thing when younger - only in my case I was distracted by a lovely girl on the footpath and didn't notice the car in front of me slam on the brakes. I hit pretty much where that guy did but I went clean over the car.

That's the saddest part. He appealed most to the poorest in order to give more money to the richest.

I'd say old mate had more going on in his marriage than who he voted for. Might have been the straw that broke the camel's back (if it's even true)

This is true, I was at a plumbing shop once and the guy said they'd had a buyer send back lengths of 100mm drain (which were going to be buried underground)... because the outside of the pipes were dirty.

I've heard they have "elections" in Russia... and Myanmar

Transport? Boat plane train ship

B, the others aren't lit.

Yes, I agree with pretty much everything in that article, apart from the backlash. If you're stupid enough to vote for him without knowing what a useless c*** he is, you're not smart enough to see you've been conned.

I think Spacey's right, it's just different learning methods. I ripped through that like Snoop Dogg through a baggie of weed, but then I read LOTS of books. However from Jerry's comment I'm guessing he had problems with it, but Jerry is far more intelligent than me (based on his posts about finance and coding).

I'd argue that in recent times this has shifted from "less powerful/more powerful" to "powerful/powerful". For example corporations making large political donations. The corporations are powerful in their own right, in some circumstances even more powerful than the federal government, so that corruption is more of a trade between equals (money for influence) while your truly less powerful, the people who the government is meant to be representing, aren't even in on the game.

I don't know that Kamala could have done much better in the time she had. As for never making a leader or a stateswoman, her public speaking was excellent and made so much more sense than anything out of Trump's mouth. Yes the election outcome is what it is, and unlike the crying orange clown in 2020 there's no attempts to overturn it or encourage revolt. You may say that the electorate spoke, well around 2/3 of eligible voters did, the other 1/3 aren't engaged enough. I can accept the outcome but still consider them bloody stupid for doing it.

You might be a century out Nev. (Actually wasn't it 1918?)

Well the average IQ in the White house is going to plummet on 20th January.
