By that logic Nev, Jacquie Lambie should have quit when she left Clive Palmer's abortion of a party. She's turned out to be, on the whole, a positive influence I think.

Not in my opinion. The backlash of doing so isn't worth it. For better or worse she is an elected Senator so unless she does something illegal I think the decision to quit is hers.

Yeah I agree. She got some support among the more activist indigenous people, but others haven't liked her outburst much. I don't agree with Voldemort (nothing new there) but I think it was a bit embarrassing for the government.

What I don't understand is the lackadaisical approach to voting. We know there are more people in the US who don't like him than do. All they have to do is get off their arse and vote. Isn't it worth it to keep that idiot from the top job and be the laughing stock of the world again?

Actually, it can. What we do now determines if it's bad or catastrophic. If you don't accept the science then nothing I say will convince you. Putin has been stymied by one country he thought he'd defeat in 3 days. I think we can walk and chew gum at the same time.
