When I was a very small child in England, I told a lot of lies. It was the only way I could get what I wanted with a big brother and big sister. I always knew I was telling lies and was always told that grown ups never did tell lies. Then as a teenager I found out that not only do grown ups tell lies but they often convince themselves that this is the truth. When large numbers of people start believing the same lie we call it mass hysteria or a cult. Jesus Christ repeatedly warned people against this sort of behaviour, but one of the most interesting aspects of Christianity is that he could never prove he was not just another cult leader selling a big lie. Now we have a strange World where we are not only asked to believe in lies but risk imprisonment if we admit to not accepting them. These range from the EU improving the environment when it is clearly destroying it, to men being women and vice versa, to Islam being a religion of peace and Muslims the victims of genocide when they are clearly the main perpetrators. The strangest thing is having politicians who convince themselves that they have the backing of constituents when the opposite is glaringly obvious

I agree there Nev,. . one of my oldest friends in aviation, let's call him 'Bob' as that is actually his name, . .. was a flight instructor at a a local flying school when we met, he checked me out on an aircraft ( PA28 R200 ) that I wanted to rent ( I'd already done that in Aus, but that's the process here in the UK ) He competed an Airline pilot course and started training on the Fokker F22,. . he was consistently unable to land the aircraft in a safe manner,. . and reluctantly, returned to G.A. Flight training, where he now runs a successful business, with eleven aircraft and various contract instructors. He is now VERY GLAD that his life went in the direction that it did and he has the luxury of being able to drive home in fifteen minutes every day. . ., and not leave home for days on end and live out of a suitcase, as CAN be the life of an Airline Jockey, particulary internationally. . .. I know anther local guy, wo got to the captain's chair on 747 for Atlas Air Cargo, at the age of 34,. . He is a single man, ( Or Was then ) and he said it was real hard times sitting around the pool with female BA cabin staff on layovers in Rio. . . ( This was 9 years back,. . I have not seen him since. . .)

I've not heard of anyone being prosecuted for Bum scratching on CCTV mate . . . but it is interesting to note that in several terrorist incidents in the UK over recent years, the CCTV cameras were not pointing in the right direction, or switched off, making it much more difficult to publicly show who the perps were. . . police also often ask for any private phone cam footage to be handed in, to 'Assist with their enquiries' rather than it being released on soshul meeja. . .

Very fair question Yenn. I believe that one minority community ( 8 - 9 percent of the UK population ) who require that their female members have to wear face covering whilst in public are exempt for cultural / religious reasons, this practice being defended by the authorities as promoting 'Community Cohesion'. This includes when in Banks and other public buildings, public transport services etc. However, no one else may cover their faces in the same circumstances. Make of that what you will.

The government says it wants to be more green, so why on earth make it more expensive to generate solar power? I want a Brexit budget. That budget should include taking VAT off all green products like insulation, boiler controls, draught excluder and solar panels. There is also a view in some parts of the government that we should give the EU some money after we leave if we leave on October 31 without signing the Withdrawal Agreement. I can see no legal basis for any such payment. ( Neither can the Law Lords in the HoL - ED ) Why do they want to sell our country down the river?
