Naturally, as a Mechanic I worked on a Lot of Holdens but never got around to Buying one. Fairly straight forward to work on. I used to like Chevs but you couldn't afford them. Nev

I used to Have to watch out for the Timber trucks in Taswegia when on the two wheelers, plus any kind of weather between New Norfolk and Queenstown.. IF one side has bad weather usually the other side is OK. Nev -
Modern cars do it SO well, and you don't have to work on them all the time.. Your Pride and joy can get scrunched anytime also. Things like Morgans are full of wood. Truly a lot of this stuff wasn't much when it was NEW. Triumph Stags for Instance and the Mayflower at the other end of the scale... Some Lotus Models would be collectable, "D' Type Jaguar Ford GT40, any Shelby. Late 20's Bentley and Vauxhalls.. Motorbikes are easier to store, and transport and you can see all the Mechanicals but a lot more delicate and subject to Monstering by Butchers. Read' Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance'. It's a textbook in some psychology Classes. Nev

He has already stated HE won't be Bound by Her Policies If the electorate feels differently. Instability is what PHON faces if the Past is any Indication. Putting together Policies that can be scrutinised. So far she's getting a dead easy Run, and is well ahead of Herself when there's Only One Legitimately elected Person in the Lower house at this stage. Mutiny and Scrutiny threaten. Maybe she can be overturned from within. I'm prepared to bet NO Labor Person will jump ship. The Nats and Libs are LOST. Nev

The Price skyrocketed after the Photo of Tony Abbot was taken standing outside the front of it. Nev -
A lot of it is not nice at Highway speeds has no Power steering or Air conditioning and dangerous in a Prang and drum brakes that Overheat. If you get a 69 Mustang you can get everything for it, New. It's a classic design. Nev

For a while now, finding the Money for essentials when living on the OA Pension is a big challenge and the Boss and I have a few Medical challenges. She had open Heart surgery about 8 years ago and I have a very thorough Neuro person who is always Making me do tests and imaging. Yesterday we were in Bayside St Kilda and a low flying formation Led by a DC3 flew above and out over the Bay at about 1500 feet with magnificent noises coming from it's radial Motors. That Plane would be well over 80 Years old and Pt Phillip Bay was like a Millpond. Other Places in the World are Being bombed daily by R soles. Nev -
The Later versions Have More Interference on the fit and Pass a Higher load test. Factory ONLY assembly.. Nev

High speed stall on Jets they describe similarly. It's like a shudder. I've experienced it. The road surface has been subject to Compaction. by oscillating Impact forces reaching a Harmonic. As Drivers seek better surfaces the Ridges spread out on the New Path. It appears to Be directional to a Point. IF you drive on the wrong side of the road the effect seems Less. I've Known People to tear the shock absorber Mount Points off the Chassis. I've wrecked 2 rear shock absorbers south of Winton. Nev

It's not a good thing to Have something Jerry-built. OME will tell us where that saying originated. Nev -
All of the 9xx series are Pressed up also. Nev
-
Press fits also Induces high stress in Parts before any extra load even comes into the Picture, from an engineering point of view.. Nev
-
They used to employ Nuts each side with Tapers, but it's better to Have More metal to press into The spline thing has been used for years now with No problems. Later Harley bottom ends are used for a lot of performance Specials. High interference Press fits cause distortion in what you are pressing into and you end up with unsolvable run out issues. Nev

That would be Obvious to anyone with Nuclear sub Knowledge and I doubt it won't be OK.. That would be a Basic. Nev
-
Hang on You are not allowed to criticise Rotax's. That Bloke's just trying to sell his product in super dumbspeak. Years ago Harley went to Splined Pins that Broach the spline in the wheels, when pressed in and it cannot move by twisting but it's a Once only thing, done at the factory with special alignmment presses. The whole shaft and rods assy must Be replaced but at Much the same cost as a normal rebuild. The usual term for that type of rod is Fork and Blade. A couple of small weld runs won't last Long as a repair. The Flywheels are steel forgings with the Mainshafts integral..The assembly HAS to be built up as the Big end Bearings are caged Rollers. Nev

BUGGA? John Laws didn't mention that. Nev

I don't see the Clunkers analogy, We have had to extend our Collins class subs service life. The Yanks have trouble building enough New Nuclear ones for themselves. Who signed up to AUKUS in the First Place? Now we are stuck with it.. Pull out and we may lose the Lot as it would then be Australia Breaking the deal. Nev

You have to grade them AFTER rain, not just scrape the top few inches. Nev

Geez it's cold and wet here at 1500 feet alt. The ground is saturated. , Wet until Sunday. Celebrating because rain is good and it's a long while since we got soaking steady rain It's not the Kind that Causes Flooding. Nev -
There's rough roads and Corrugated roads, They are not really the same. A corrugated road may still have a sound Base and just require a grader at the right time. Nev
