I watched a video from Spanian, the Sydney chap who spent a time in jail and now travels and eats out recording his travels. in Paris he had a guide who had lived in Sydney who was from France. She took him through the city. There were many parts where the Parisians are scared to go, at least alone and female due to the large number of male immigrants living in tent cities under the bridges and on the foot paths. Spanian is a scary enough looking dude and many of them wanted to front up to him just for being there. that type of migration is not beneficial to society. when I was younger I remember everyone talking about the Greeks and Italians that came to Australia. They worked hard, opened shops, built houses and became the new Australians I know there are other groups that have done similar. Without this type of input we would be pretty boring. All the new foods and culture brought here has been beneficial to all. gangs of youths wandering the streets with machetes and committing crime are not welcome. Some of these groups are children of people who escaped pretty bad situations in their home countries, but the youth seem to not appreciate the fortune of living in a good country, perhaps dreaming of being gangsters from too many poor influences. maybe sending these ones back to where they (or their parents) are from for punishment might be the answer, then they may appreciate what they had.

Darryl the gambler from storage wars has passed away at 67. i didn’t mind this show when it started, since learnt a lot was staged.

In the eighties I used to watch cartoons on a show he hosted. Sad to see younger people passing.

Always seems to be the city folk who love to live "white", or at least with All the white mod cons that have the most to say about these things.

I might self exclude myself from the news again in the mornings. When I didn't turn it on I felt better. It might be a bit of an ostrich move (head in the sand) but it is always someone else's misery that gets reported. No wonder so many people are depressed.

Over on the coast, I find spuds don’t keep well. They shoot sprouts all over in the bags. i planted some Dutch cream ones in a pot. Got a heap of small spuds. Plant grew too quick here and was wilted on top when I dug them out. I used to grow them for over 3 months until the plant died and you dug them. maybe the temp and humidity here make things run their course quicker.

I recently had to bite the bullet and take blood pressure medication, mine was around 190/160 after work and 160/140 in the mornings at rest, heart rate was around 44in mornings and 60 ish in arvo. little tablet seems to be lowering it to around 140/ 90 at last check. i recon it is lack of flying causing stress. 3 years since last flew.

I watched a documentary on you tube where DNA has matched a polish bloke to be Jack the Ripper, familiar matches of bloody clothes tested positive to his line. he also was an early suspect according to police records.

There is a picture of sign at a harington servo today at $3.15 for diesel. these should be the ones the accc goes after.

At the trough only

I finished reading my copy in the airport on Sunday. i learnt a fair bit I didn’t know about how mining operations worked in the past. later I google earthed the area and found the remains of those mines that can still be seen, the road names make sense now. Tried imagining the area with the native forests back in place. They made a huge difference to the landscape.

I just got back from supermarket. Strangest notice board message ever made me do a double take. “what to do in an attack”, message was about seeking shelter and staying safe. what the hell is going on that we have not been told about.

That one looks more useful in situ than my full circumference ones, which require space all around.

I remember my mum having an album of his with him in a hat and fur coat. Funny how an image can be remembered from over 45 years ago.
