I had a customer telling me that the Chinese are cloud seeding over us because they seen a bunch of contrails parallel to each other over Tamworth. they don’t get it when you say go outside and breath on a cold morning. 36 degree air makes steam in 0 degree air, then multiply it by thousands of cubic feet, add 1200 degree fuel powered exhaust, and minus 40 air temp and what is going to happen. some people are like Australian born trump supporters.

That could be just drunk contractors😄

I got smacked in the head when I was in grade 5 at school bu the teacher. Me and a mate were giggling in class cutting news papers out. The bit that we were laughing at was an add for.large breasted chickens. I grew up watching hey hey and John Blackman cartoons. He knew exactly what we were thinking.

I like using drills that I got from wurth. They have stepped tips and 3 flat sides like onetrack mentioned. Not cheap.but they drill very neat round holes freehand and through thick tough material.

All made in china of course, like a good patriotic country. they come here to buy soft toy koalas to take home that their neighbours probably made.

Celebrating Positives (offset of the Gripes Thread)

Dentist/butcher that pulled 2 wisdom teeth from me, sat on my chest pulling with pliers and breaking them up with a drill/jackhammer. 2 weeks before my first ever cruise. I had a piece of bone go rotten in my gum, it worked itself to the top when I was on a tender boat. When I flicked it out with my tongue it was the most rotten smelling thing I had ever smelt. Healed up real quick after it was gone. I do not envy you having dental work like that one track. -

I get to go home tomorrow and see my wife and youngest daughter. Living at work 300kms away is not fun. -
It’s no wonder the population can’t grow.

Not a lot of taste in the meat any more. Home raised are better. Wild beats them too

Too late. Aldi already got them

24 years ago I used to work growing the seedlings for all the Vietnamese share farmers there. I would seed with the boss, then when they germinated spend my week picking out doubles and triples etc replanting them in new trays or missed cells. When you have an order from one share farmer for 1 millions seedlings you know they are farming on a huge scale.

One of my mates found a black powder recipient in a book and we made it and fireworks from it, we learnt how to burn wood with out a flame to get one ingredient, like an old fashion charcoal pit. The local chemist used to ask what we were up to every time we bought some of the ingredients. “School experiment” usually sufficed. Tightly rolled up paper can make a bit of a bang we found.

The 3G phone network is shutting down from this month (Dec 2023)

try the pacific HWY, one of our major routes between state capitals, signal is on, off all the way. and yet you can see towers-so good line of sight and have no service. Now Cel-fi has released a model specifically for 5G after i have 2 of the bloody things that work best on boosting the 3G signal. -
Maybe Larry was a clam, Happy as a clam.

put one in the workshop to save space and water. Bloody expensive compared to a normal cistern though around $1600 all up on trade price

Maybe Scotty cam has a Chinese cousin😂 probably the same amount of defects as the block, except you probably disappear if you report them.

Has anyone else wondered about our single use plastic bag ban, we now pay for a paper bag that can only hold a pack of crisps or it tears open, when they get home they are filled with rubbish and tossed, because they barely make the one trip. The weight of the bags must have increased tenfold( like per 1000 etc), so shipping them around the globe must cost a small fortune (books are heavy enough to move in a box) At least those grey woolworth's plastic bags went in a holder or another bag to be reused as rubbish bags, carrying stuff around to places, We didnt buy garbage bags for years, they stacked in the wheelie bin easy and went out every day so no odours. Now the ones we get tear before you get them out of the bin, so bloody hopeless. Paper production is fairly labour and process intensive and if you believe the lefties, Toxic, I remember all the paper mills in Tassie's north closing and leaving a lot of people out of work. And to top it off, everything like the meat trays mentioned above are single use due to what the contents are-raw meat, chicken etc.

I agree, easier to fix with a cable tie or two, a bit harder to expand them.

I feel bad with 20kg more on me than I should. Some of the people on tv shows like 1000lb sisters are being enabled, they don’t walk or drive to the junk food shops. They can barely move in a modified house.

Now my commute is 20metres approx (living at my workshop), I am saving about $30 a week on coffee. I think I bought is as a habit more than anything whilst driving to work. That adds up over a year.

Be like all day jerky, I don’t think anyone’s ever wore a set out.

I have a wide and varied taste, just some of the older great ones are no longer with us or touring. On my list would have been Lynard Skynard, chuck Berry, and many others

Always feel like that at concerts now, Def leopard, Jon Stevens, guns n roses, Richard Marx. All these old.people like the same.music, then realise I'm one of them😄
