Don't get me wrong here, But I LIKE Donald Trump.

no just that, But all of the executives being in the same position. and the expectation that its the normal course of action from the entry level positions without questioning it. I think we have all read "Fate is the hunter" by Earnest K Gann. and his message - "Damn the numbers" -

Military is another example of age and seniority being a reflection of the time served. there is only a fixed number of generals. so they literally are waiting for one to retire or die before a promotion. this takes time so they all end up being old men. I agree age brings wisdom - but there is also some incredibly competent younger men. the average age of a CEO is 45-55 -

Problem is the same one we have here, its a lifetime political game where seniority is often by time not merit. the end result is an Gerontocracy instead of a Meritocracy. the only reason we haven't had the same fate is because we turn over leaders as soon as they fall out of favor. If the USA was like us, Biden would have been ousted 12 months ago by his own party. -
the lucky country was never meant as a positive name.... it was that no matter how incompetent and stupid the decisions we made were, we dug something out of the ground and didn't face the consequences. I still think the only thing we are winning is a race to the bottom.

eh, sushi is pretty popular with non-Asians, same with the "Bahn-mi" has replaced the sandwich

I can tell you lots. I'm currently dealing with this. my rule of thumb is add 20% to the advertised price. every inspection I've been to has had lines of 50 people. and talking to the agents they have multiple offers before the inspection - all unseen. As I've said before. the problem isn't just housing prices.... its that there is a huge overlap between the investors and the entry level home buyer. I would think no-one is buying a 5 bedroom house as an investment... the difference between a 2 bedroom unit, and a 3 bedroom home isn't large, because of this. just look at the way realtor ads are written.

yeah, we have the worst money laundering laws. and its not going to change anytime soon with the real estate and accountants lobbying the government against any changes. because they don't want the liability and extra costs for checking.... which we all know they would just pass along anyway. Does make you wonder why we have no foreign ownership laws.... unlike the countries that a lot o this spending is from

yeah, but that also requires decent transportation options... we have cars. we bought into the American way of life. As a 32yr old single male I only need a 1 bedroom unit or apartment. 2 bedroom ideal for study/spare/storage room. however my lifestyle is vehicle centric. and parking is a major concern. these just don't offer the spots I need. admittedly this is selfish because I have so many vehicles. currently looking at alternative storage options when I lose my current place with garage. (super rare in this market, was the reason I got this property - most at best are covered carport style parking) but the same applies for a new couple - with 2 cars. which are needed to get around our cities. but these were all built with only 1 car space.... best case scenario is that there is a retired elderly person in the building who gave up driving you can rent an extra space from.

because government controls immigration and infrastructure and permits to build, no point talking about supply and demand - if you cant alter the supply because there is no infrastructure in place to support new approvals of builds. and the idea is the 600,000 migrants need a place to stay - and they are far more likely to rent then buy when establishing themselves. I too agree that the Student Visa is at best a backdoor practice for immigration, and at worst an rort on importing vulnerable. dated a few girls on it - they had lots of stress. you are meant to self fund it - rarely do they have the savings too, need to work part-time. but then they are limited to hours and pay - often low paying as normal employer's don't want the headache and uncertainty that comes from the limitations. funnily enough its almost a pyramid scheme - as the last girl I dated with it, could only find work with a visa agency, that's business was to get more foreign students in....

I do it with hot chocolate, got nothing to do with the drink - its a socially acceptable break. no one questions you if you say your stepping out for a coffee. the healthier alternative would be I'm stepping out to put on music and walk for 10 mins.... but that isn't normally accepted working behavior same reason you see nurses out the front of a hospital smoking - despite knowing and seeing all the effects daily

so lets see, 100kg of potato 99% water, means we have 99 kg water, 1% other for 1 kg 1% other is constant it doesn't change. so we are left with 99-1%, which equals 98.01 add the 1kg back in and we get 99.01kg of potatoes

Dont have to quit school to do an apprenticeship these days, can do it school based were they split the time. might take a bit longer - but it still gives him the yr12 certificate. they count the experience and trade school as subjects so he only has to do a reduced workload. -

listening to the Dollop podcast on Frank Sinatra, and there is so many similarities with Trump. the absolute inability to apologize, and instead double down that they were wronged by the consequences of their own actions -

his lawyer summed it up best when the judge asked them to take trump out and explain the rules, they responded - "he, knows the rules" He just doesn't care, he has a lifetime of doing what he wants and trusting others to pick up the pieces and nail it through. it is amazing that people are still willing to work for him and align with his brand. -
Retribution does not mean Crimes against Humanity.

Not to mention the Christian aspect. while an atheist is looking at the land saying that it was inhabited by the Palestinians before 1913ish But for a Christian it is the land promised in the bible and the ancestral home of the Jew, where the gentiles are to be driven out. so its very pro war, pro Christian America supported -

Problem with the middle east is its still very much a tribal society. rules of law mean very little. its honor bound. where your word and actions carry more weight. your duty bound to the family and clan before anything else and fundamentalism in itself is not evil. it just means focusing on the fundamentals - going back to basics. any sports team will often do it in a troubled period. the problem is that a fundamentalist in this case rejects the modern views of laws and courts - going instead back the tribalism of protecting honor and taking care through retribution instead of the courts or police its really easy to blame religion, as they live their lives by it... but we are viewing it from our culture and standing. where we have been removed from it. -
anyone else a fan of Moto GP, been really enjoying the last few rounds. amazing racing with the last lap changes to the finishing positions. plus the championship in all 3 classes possibly going down to the last round. especially the knife fighting monkeys in moto3

Because its all they have.... its a hammer for sure. but its the only tool they have. I remember an economist at the last Morrison budget talking about how opposite the RBA and Government was. with the RBA saying that the economy needed to slow. and the government boosting it with more grants and benefits. you would think there would be some sort of endorsement or checks process between the two... but nope.

I know nothing about wine, but imagine there is a sweet spot in the ocean depth where the temperature preserves. and it would be pretty damn consistent.

Oh definitely. if you want to see the why a Harley is so expensive look at the oil lines and switch gear. the lines between the oil tank and engine are either braided or metal tube. and the switch housings are metal not plastic. they are an agricultural design, but there is minimal plastic on the bikes. Importantly with accessories is its got the market to support it. try changing handlebars on a jap cruiser - its an absolute nightmare for 1 reason. cables, no one does them off the shelf, need it all custom made. and then cut and chop to extend the wiring for the controls. with a Harley you just add in the plug and play extension loom. want cables, comes as a kit - factory supported from 2" to 10" longer. to put into perspective the highest selling non-Harley cruiser in Australia was the Yamaha XV650. sold from 1998-2019 unchanged (yes still had a carby in 2019, (Yamaha would still sell it here if it had ABS and passed emissions - but they wouldn't spend any money on updating it) and as far as I am aware only had one option for an aftermarket exhaust (Vance and Hines)
