I have been thinking about that rot for ages. When it is all said and done it is only entertainment value for the ones who do not think ahead and reason. They are not that smart to understand when all the assets are gone there will be no work for them. I have seen in a work place, fellows would not do "x" task then the company payed some fellows out and put the work over to contractors. Should have heard the noise went to the industrial court and the company won hands down. It is a perfectly safe reasonable task and you fellows would not do it, not one contractor was hurt. Hello, Gnarley Gnu -- had the Australian debt equated to equal personal debt for every person in Australia, check it on post '66.. Now Marty yes the rate is 45% that is for income tax.. That is federal tax we are talking about state tax here. State tax:- Traffic fines -- you will find we will not be able to move without collecting a ticket. Electricity will go up, Rego up, plus all the other sate tax, what about the state goverment services they will go from the regional areas and be all placed in the south east corner. Will be --- when the tax equates to 100% of ones income...... While the tax is getting to the 100% mark who is going to pay the grocery bill. Put in simplistic terms.... Hi there All, Here is one more twist to the financial situation and it is a bit disturbing.. While the senate blocks the savings from the budget. Australia has to borrow $110m a day just to pay the interest bill. This little bit of wisdom was just released by the RBA. I think it is bit frightening. What do you all think? Regards KP.

Hi GG What is frightening if the debt goes up, there will not be enough revenue from the taxes/excises etc.etc. to pay the interest bill. How do you fix that F_T? That looks like the case in Greece and Spain--- look at all the moaning from over there. I do not want that in Australia. Regards KP.

Hello Dazza That $85b debt well I heard $87b we will not argue over that. Still a lot of money. ............BUT............ Just the interest bill on that is about $5b a year.. So the taxes are paying that interest before anything else can be done. Qld lost its AAA credit rating and money is a lot dearer. Anna arranged that for us. Divide the $5b by 52 that will be the weakly interest bill. For a rough figure $450,000 a minute. Regards KP.
