Dealing with the In-Laws is a minefield, Jerry!

Who, me? Just because I’m paranoid, doesn’t mean the bastards aren’t out to get me!

- Another reason to legislate secure, long term funding for Auntie, before the conservatives run it into the ground. Don’t scoff, that’s the agenda of Murdoch and his Liberal supporters.

My grandies have some heavily totooed cousins who actively encourage them to “get a tat” and their mother supports them. These cousins are nice enough kids, but far from good role models, dropping out of education and drifting from one job to another. Hopefully, the kids will see that.

Don't get me wrong here, But I LIKE Donald Trump.

I suspect he’s well tuned-in to their prejudices; all he has to do is say things they want to believe. That would be true enough for them. -

Nev I fear that is exactly why so many of his fans love him; he gets away with doing what they’d like to be able to get away with. -
In relation to NATO, which seemed in its death throes, he can be said to have “snatched defeat from the jaws of victory”.

The lowlifes who inflicted this torture are still walking free. -
We could have an interesting discussion about that, pm. Some of my favourite channels show ancient artifacts that conventional archaeology cannot explain. Those same mainstream specialists have a bad record of mocking new theories, until new discoveries (eventually) lead them to adapt their mindset.

I saw this attitude first-hand when I moved to the city and got factory jobs. Morale was appalling, you never saw management, even the foreman was hard to find and my fellow workers showed zero interest in doing a good job. This shocked me, after working in our little town’s mill, where everyone knew the owners and managers, drank and played darts with them. It sure was an education to work with people who took delight in sabotaging the efforts of others and vicimising new immigrants for pleasure. If Australia plans to build Nuclear Submarines, any surviving residue of this attitude must be eradicated.

I find myself agreeing with... Pauline Hanson

Agreed, but in return, they should do their part to ensure their kids don’t also become a burden on society. Inter-generational welfare dependence seems to be increasing; if nothing is done to turn this around, we are in danger of repeating historic cycles of intolerance. -

Another side of homelessness: A family member is today cleaning up their old family home, which they’d rented out to some less well-off people known to them. These tenants enjoyed a sweet deal for DECADES and left the place a mess. Aged and infirm, the landlords are now risking serious injury doing the cleanup themselves (the commercial quote was humungous). Why would anyone risk renting their place to unknowns, after being treated like this by people you knew? -
You’ll have to speak more slowly, Jerry; far too much goes over my head!

Can’t find it now, but I saw a joke about a gold-digging bimbo who lost interest in her latest conquest when she realised he was only 69, not 96.

Good point Nev. The comments are what I usually read to decide if the video is a waste of time.

I believe a criminal conviction disqualifies people from voting. Perhaps why the Republicans have pushed strong penalties for drug possession- thus keeping millions of Democrat-leaning blacks and hispanics from voting. -
Maybe this is the quiet Ukraine likes to have before they storm a big slice of their territory back.
