  1. Well who or what will you put first? Not one of the major parties I hope.
  2. Vote for Trumpets of Patriots. Forget about the ALP and the Coalition, they got us into this debt mess.
  3. I think 850 would be closer to the mark. Anyway, I'll bring it up till the light goes out, then that will keep me happy. I'm sure it will go out before 900.
  4. Actually I think I've just figured out what the problem is, something simple, idling revs too low. I took the car for a spin, and saw that the tacho was only on about 750RPM at idle. Lately, I've been using the kick-down a lot more than I have in the past and I'm wondering if that has something to do with it.
  5. Look at what China did to us, they blocked some of our exports and our Parliament panicked realizing they shouldn't have criticized China about spreading Covid in 2019.
  6. I better get my mechanic to look at it .. the thing is though, that it only started lighting up since he did the last service. Not saying he's at fault in any way, but there were no problems before hand. The engine has only 50,000ks on it, so the bearings should be still ok.
  7. My oil light has decided to light up during idling in the 2017 Kia Cerato in the last few weeks. Oil level is ok, must be the pressure switch, do you think?
  8. Your biggest fear, is fear itself
  9. Interpretation ?
  10. No, they're oval, but only very slightly oval, and oval oddly, meaning the bearing tracks are ground to have two or three irregularly spaced hollows to counter harmonics which were cracking the bearings at 20,000 RPM or what ever the high revs are. Too much for the bearings anyway, and something had to be done about it, and that's what they did. Perhaps they are not really a true ovality, but they are certainly not round either.
  11. The stock market will keep climbing steadily for a month, maybe a bit longer. The pause in tariffs is for 90 days, then the market will fall again. Investors will be getting used to it, and make wise choices getting close to the end of the 90days. They'll know what to expect, more or less.
  12. Trick question for you all: Are the main ball bearings in a modern jet engine round or oval?
  13. It's all very exciting isn't it? Did y'all buy shares when the prices slumped? You'd be rich now if you did.
  14. It looked like it to me. Go to 15mins 40secs. It may have been a DC3.
  15. We have a 10% GST, even on imported second hand goods. I've had to pay it on my purchases of old cameras for my collection. Jerry Harvey is to blame, and I've boycotted Harvey Norman since that impost on used goods came in. Our government is no better than Trump.
  16. All the States were under threat, from International Socialism. Americans hate socialism, taxes are too high.
  17. Yeah, I've been up in a Dragonfly. Real thrill that was, like going for a ride in a flying Bondi tram. And what about the pilot of the DC4 leaning right out of his window to slam the side door shut - bit how-ya-going that was.
  18. We're in new times, and it's a case of "Out with the old, and in with the new". The slate needs to be wiped clean.
  19. Why have voting then? Why should I go and vote if nothing will change?
  20. Aaah but new parties may come along with new and very attractive policies .. What then? if they win a sizeable chunk of votes, say, 35% primary votes, and look like they'll do even better next time. Do you think the ALP and Coalition will lie down and let democracy take it's course?
  21. It's my way of protesting. I've never felt any affinity with the major dumb parties, nor our "Pommie" Westminster style of government. It creates perpetual disenfranchisement of about 30% of the electorate. And majority rule of 50 + 1 is dinosaur stuff, it needs to be more than that, a lot more. The ALP and the Conservatives have ruled since 1901, and that should tell us how rigged the political system is. Can you imagine Australia ever being governed by any other parties? Be honest with your answer.
  22. Dutton hasn't come up with much has he? Just nuclear power and sacking Govt workers. And the only thing Albo has come up with is: "In Australia's best interests", and, "We are still good friends with the United States, but not Trump" Are these two really worth voting for? I'm staying home thank you very much.
  23. Australia is the Titanic now ... just check the election results as they come in. The dumb major parties will be watching their preference votes more closely than their primary votes.
  24. No because other useless and unnecessary bureaucracy would go the way of the Dodo.
  25. Yeah it would be large, and nationwide, about a thousands members to start with, with different jobs for different members, all working together in harmony, each backing the other up, one for all, all for one.
