old man emu Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 Doesn't the Vic Gov, have the same ID card for just that reason, I would imagine that it does, as would the other States and Territories.
Yenn Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 As an older person I find it frustrating when doing some types of transaction on the internet, to have the phone ring, then before I can get to it there is a number spoken onto the recorded messages, that I have to use on the computer. I had not realised that it was cheaper for some to call a mobile than a land line. For me it is the opposite, it costs extra to call a mobile and my mobile will not always work at home.
red750 Posted May 18, 2020 Author Posted May 18, 2020 The Nicaragua scammers are at it again. A couple of days ago my wife received at least a dozen calls within a coupe of hours late at night. Phone rings once, disconnects, missed call. This morning, every five minutes since 6.30, same thing. Rang Vodaphone - "We can't block overseas calls, all calls or nothing." Missed call list a mile long. Still ringing. Do Not Call register useless. Scamwatch useless. Why can't the Telecommunications Commission do something about it?
Yenn Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 I doubt that the telecoms commission is as well set up as the scammers.
spacesailor Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 Thats a very good reason to switch-off your phone, at night & a few hours in daytime. spacesailor
