willedoo Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 I see that panic buying has been rebranded as 'prepared purchasing'. 1

Perhaps this pandemic will cause some city folk, accustomed to being able to duck down to well-stocked supermarkets, to reassess their priorities. Rural people tend to have a fortnight’s groceries on hand, plus months’ worth of medication, spare parts, fuel, etc. Is that hoarding or just being sensible? 1
red750 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 I just heard about a new variant identified in Cyprus. A merger of Delta and Omicron. Called Deltacron. More virulent, with stronger effects. 1
nomadpete Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 There is a definite benefit from wearing a mask at work meetings...... 4
red750 Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 I'm wondering if a long term effect of the virus is a) getting breathless much easier, and b) lower ability to deal with the heat. 1
spacesailor Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 Could the virus be the ' lowering of libido' . After the loss of so many to the virus, a decline in our sex drive could have enormous repercussions to our race of Humans. spacesailor 1
facthunter Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 They found the main cause of libido reduction.. It's been discovered to be a common ingredient in Wedding Cake. Nev 2
Jerry_Atrick Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 Interesting take.. Wasn't sure about dumping here or SFM,. but it does also cover state pollies (or two, anyway), so decided to dump it here. 1
old man emu Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 Good, bad or indifferent, I followed the "health advice" and got my booster yesterday. My next step will be self-isolation. I'm getting the hell out of Sydney and going where I have a zone of exclusion as far as the eye can see. 3
spacesailor Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 That,s handy. I,ve always needed a spare hand. spacesailor 3
onetrack Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 (edited) If looking like that, is "just fine" - I'd hate to think what "not so good", looks like ... Edited January 14, 2022 by onetrack
Marty_d Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 At least this way if someone asks how big their todgers are, they can say "a foot".... 3
nomadpete Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 He's not short...... He's grown all of a foot since christmas! 1
nomadpete Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 Meanwhile, back on Covid-19 thread topic..... Wifey did a RAT yesterday. Result? POSITIVE !!! for paranoia. (Negative for covid) 2 1
nomadpete Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 (edited) Note that these tests require a modicum of intelligence and attention span by the user. You have to be able to count to four (drops of sample on a small target), and wait 15 whole minutes before reading the result. Not sure I have complete faith in this system. Can't trust most bogans to read instructions AND follow them. Not to mention that the test will cost the same as a cask of wine. Edited January 14, 2022 by nomadpete 1 1
Jerry_Atrick Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 Or, they may buy them used... (I think you can get them free now, if you can find any, but they can't read and don't watch the news). 1
spacesailor Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 Second hand R A T equipment !, too good to be true. I,m looking at the used A S I C, card And pilot licence, they could be on a winner with those. IF The price is right. LoL spacesailor 1
red750 Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 Got my Moderna booster this afternoon. Three jabs done. 2 1
facthunter Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 I've got two days to mine. (Booster) Can't get the RATS. That's a B...Y disgrace. My Doctor and medical centre can't get any. Nev
Jerry_Atrick Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 It's quite amazing the botching the government is doing, and the crap excuses and then processes they come up with, and the MSM just let them get away with it. Even here, the government of the day leaning MSM wouldn't stand for it.
