nomadpete Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 I understand your point Spacey. But on balance how many would die from respiratory problems if there was no burn at all and next season the wildfires were twice as big? Attempting to do hazard reductions, even when they go wrong, is the lesser of two evils. 1 1
facthunter Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Pete, there are ongoing Cardiac Brain and Lung issues with Long covid. Ther's plenty of informed discussion about it and more to learn about a condition we sure as hell don't need to have hanging over us in the future. Plenty of medical people are aware and wary of it but naturally you won't read about it in the MSM as people don't want to know anything that will curb their desire to be OVER IT.. 1 1
nomadpete Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 As yet, it is impossible to have a longitudinal study on long term covid, or even on long term effects after normal recovery from covid19 (or vax itself). So although the worrying signs are there, the actual statistics scientific proof of outcomes across age groups and long terms) will only be available after another ten years or so. I'm just being pedantic. 1
facthunter Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 But we have no idea how bad the effects are long term of course but we know effects are being observed where changes are already evident. They could be genetic. Where you DON'T know wouldn't caution rather than hope be more appropriate? People are unable to perform at work like they used to so they don't get promoted or keep the job even. Nev 2 1
