red750 Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 I was in the McDonald’s drive-through in at lunch time yesterday and the young lady behind me leaned on her horn because I was taking too long to place my order. “Take the high road,” I thought to myself. So when I got to the first window I paid for her order along with my own. The cashier must have told her what I'd done, because as we moved up she leaned out her window and waved to me and mouthed "Thank you.", obviously embarrassed that I had repaid her rudeness with a kindness. When I got to the second window I showed them both receipts and took her food too. Now she has to go back to the end of the line start all over. Don't honk your horn at old people. 2 1
old man emu Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 When I was a policeman I was driving to work one morning when an AYF overtook me on unbroken lines and took off at 80 in a 60. I pulled her up and booked her. She took the matter to Court and when asked why she had done what she had done, her reply was "Old people drive too slow." That really impressed the Magistrate, and she was out of pocket and walking for a couple of months. AYF: Aggressive Young Female 1 1

Peter this deserves a wider audience. Have you considered writing comedy skits?
red750 Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 I have to come clean, it wasn't original. I got it from a chain email.

onetrack Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 I saw AYF, and thought you were referring to All Your Fault. The acronym is obviously still very applicable to the impatient young woman.
facthunter Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 In the olden days If you were driving a Morris Minor series MM, you rarely passed anything.. . They make a lot of Jokes about the old. Makes it even worse. No matter how you view it , it's NOT a promotion. It's only good compared to the alternative. Nev 1
Bryon Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 I can remember having to reverse a MM up Punt Rd hill cos it wouldn't make it up in any forward gear 1
willedoo Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 I found this test fairly easy the first time and a bit harder going back to it a second time. " Now, for a little neurological test.....only use your eyes. 1- Find the C in the table below! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 2- If you have already found the C, then find the 6 in the table below. 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 69999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 3- Now find the N in the table below. Attention, it's a little more difficult! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMNMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM If you pass these three tests without a problem: - you can cancel your annual visit to the neurologist. - your brain is in decent working shape! - you are far from having any relationship with Alzheimer's. Share this with your over-60-friends, it can be reassuring." 1
Old Koreelah Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 Alzheimers? A terrible fate! A mate suffered from a rapidly-advancing case a few years ago, so bad he couldn't work or function socially. He was rapidly descending into a vegetative state. The worst of it was he was only in his forties! I just received some good news, however: another mate encountered him in a shopping centre and his condition has improved considerably. There's still hope for me.
Jerry_Atrick Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 (edited) There is no "N" - If you found it, then you need that visit to the brain man, your brain needs help and it has nothing to do the Alzheimers... There are 4 '\n' characters.. but you need to be a programmer to work that out.. Edited July 17, 2020 by Jerry_Atrick 1

old man emu Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 Don't worry Jerry. You don't have a case of Alzheimer's, more likely you've been into a case of Jacob's.
onetrack Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Found the "C", the "6", and the "N", within about 15 seconds in total, so I'm breathing a sigh of relief here. 1
pmccarthy Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Me too, all good, and I haven't gone blind either despite the warnings. 1
facthunter Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Keep it up, pmc. but the brain might go a bit soft at the same time.. I just read that good Gut Biome guards against Old Timers and Parkinsons. Cut the antibiotics and have the right diet. Nev 2
Jerry_Atrick Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 (edited) Bagoonies! I was using Notepad to find it... forgot to hit the search up button! Takes a computer to make a mistake and humans to really stuff things up! Edited July 18, 2020 by Jerry_Atrick 1
red750 Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 The 6 and the C were easy, the N took a little longer, but got all 3 in 15-20 seconds. 1 1

Jacob and I had a falling out a couple of years ago.. couldn't help it, but every time I saw him, I saw red! 😉 This time it was Gordon's fault 1
old man emu Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 At least you didn't try to shoot the blame home to that young Scot, Glen Fiddich. 1

old man emu Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Many older Australians will remember Corio Whisky, a brand with a questionable reputation as the affordable Australian spirit that demanded heavy mixing. It was joked about as been 'COR-10' in reference to a petrol brand of the time, It was said to be so rough and ready that many thought that long maturation normally associated with whisky didn't apply to Corio - it simply took place on board the truck from Geelong to Melbourne!
