Thread Resurrection.

to continue the discussion off the other thread.

I was partly inspired to ride movie Tron Legacy.

and especially the home he has with the motorcycles in the living room.

Sam Flynn's House : Tron Legacy | Motorcycle garage, Motorcycle workshop, Garage design

Sam's container house from Tron: Legacy is such a perfect dude home. 10/10 would live in

I always said I would do the same thing when I got my own place.

well its taken me a while, with rentals and units etc... that  didn't allow me to do it.

by not I have my own house. I have achieved that dream.

even have a black naked Ducati (that has its own story)

might not be the sports classic of the film. but I adore this Monster

May be an image of motorcycle and text that says "더:3요 DUCA CAT DU"

Bikes, like dogs, should be kept outside.

My two miniature Foxies would bite you on the ankle for suggesting that.

They are true inside dogs, only going out for bathroom duties or to chase wallabies.  (Or if no one is home).

They don't even have a kennel - nights are spent on the beds of random humans.  Sometimes one kid will have both dogs, sometimes they split up, occasionally no one wants them in bed so they're relegated to the couch in the lounge room (which, in winter when there's a fire in the woodheater most of the night, they're quite happy about!)

PS... in my early 20's, in my little 1 bedroom flat, I had not only the VFR750 parked in the loungeroom but also a hang glider.

those who get it, get it.

those who don't, don't.

my father was shaking his head disapprovingly when my brother-inlaw and I moved it in.

honestly it started as just a novelty. doing it because I always said I would.

but every-time I pass it, it brings me joy. I just enjoy looking at it. and running my hand over it.
so far have resisted the temptation to start it indoors. (has a Termigoni race system on it, with no cats)

it will stay there through winter - as its on seasonal registration.

its a mechanical sculpture, till spring when it will come out so I can ride it again.

the other bike a Vstrom 1000 lives outside and I have no desire to put it on display.

its not the same as the Ducati. I dont have the same attachment, or sense of pride about it.

and its one of the uglier motorcycles. its practical not emotional.

I dont think every motorcycle is art worthy of display....

but there are quite a few that I think are.

I think it's the way that you are brought up with dogs. I've had a dog most of my life, but my Mum's rule was no dogs inside, and as the twig is bent ..... The first dog I remember was a Fox Terrier, but after that all my dogs have been medium to large. I sometime wonder if I should get myself another dog, but the last one I had was a rescue dog that had to be put down because it had never been socialised and when it got out it got into fights. It was ether the needle or a fine for me and a muzzle for the dog as well as "Dangerous dog" warning signs at the gates.

Can't see the Point in a lot of the one type. OR dressing up in war attire either.. Whatever grabs you, I suppose. but variety is the spice of life. There's a hell of a lot of different Harleys  and they have been produced since 1903. Nev

I guess it's whatever floats your boat. Some people like to get involved in military reenactments, but they don't look very serious about it. More of a military enthusiasts get together/fun run by the look of it. Looks like a few serious reenactors with a lot of others just along for the ride.

Obviously they were all WLAs or WLCs restored to wartime appearance and engaged in a reenactment ride. They were known by the Europeans freed from the NAZI yoke as the "Liberator".

Doing that is one of the numerous ways people enjoy these bikes, just as others chop them, or civilianize them.

And ! .

I thought , it was the remaining 90% trying to get home .( very Old Harley joke ) .spacesailor

More like something an Indian rider would say, just like

Harley-Davidson

Made of tin

Ride 'em out

And push 'em in"

I hope to get mine back in a day or two.
