We have heard of the British women who ferried aircraft around Britain, and the American women who did the same in the USA, but here's the story of Rumanian women pilots who flew aerial ambulances on the Eastern Front. (Rumania was on the Axis side early in the War).

It looks funny now to see the old spelling. Reminds me of cows ruminating.

Interesting note in that video that not one aircraft was lost. That's a good record considering what was happening at the time.
