The background is what distorts the Grid you see first. (If you look at it correctly.. Your MIND is responsible for trying to make it make sense. It often "fills in" things for you whether you want it to or not. (Bit like spell check).   I'm NOT saying I have seen ALL but the grid is normal.  There's a thing called astigmatism some people have which bends straight lines. Try a test for that. (Google it Mate). Nev

Here is an interesting site (well to me at least) that allows you to dial in different parameters to the curved grid illusion.  The most interesting one is that the grey cobble stone squares only work in one orientation, rotate just a little them and the illusion immediately disappears.
