willedoo Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 South Korean press has reported that Kim Jong-un has banned mullets. Also skinny jeans, piercings, dyed hair and T-shirts with slogans. Democracy is always a double edged sword; it means we get to vote but pay for it by having to tolerate mullets. 2 1
spacesailor Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 Whats wrong with 'mullets ' . Hair Is hair and if you lose it, you certainly dislike the sound & feel of Rain on your bare bonce. Who are the ' overbearing ' dictator,s who discriminate over our appearance. Welcome to north Korea, were even hair Colour is dictated. I love the sight of our youngsters, with their Brite, red / yellow / green And golden locks. spacesailor 2 1

Yenn Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 I like mullet, a far tastier fish than it is given credit for. 2
Jerry_Atrick Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 Yes.. I was going to say - what does North Korea have against feeding its population? 1
onetrack Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 Maybe the translation was faulty and he's trying to clean the place up, by banning blind mullets? 1
Marty_d Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 My boss has a magnificent mullet. It would be worth more than my job to post a photo of him, so you'll have to take my word for it. 1
onetrack Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 That's no way to describe the everyday North Korean people! 1
onetrack Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 Does anyone see the irony in a leader with the worst style of haircut in the world, banning mullet haircuts? I'll wager the little Fat Wun has been the butt of many "where did you get that haircut?" jokes. 1
Yenn Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 I remember when long hair was banned in Singapore in the seventies. my winch driver was regularly chased by the police because his hair was down to his shoulders. Good bloke and an excellent worker. Luckily they never caught him. 1

The long hair thing in Indonesia harks back to the fighters for independence from the Dutch. They vowed to not cut their hair until they gained freedom. Since those days long hair has been respected as a mark of the country's independence. 3
