Old Koreelah Posted May 26, 2021 Posted May 26, 2021 Observant types, women. I removed mine just before coming home after months working away. After three days of saying my hair looked different, she suddenly exclaimed “you’ve shaved off your beard!” 2 2

Is that because she syes her hair another colour Since lockdown, I basically grow the beard until it itches and shave it off.. The family take about a full day to realise its gone.. They were all born blonde, though. 2 2

nomadpete Posted May 27, 2021 Posted May 27, 2021 (edited) I told my kids that I put a silver rinse through my hair to make young people respect me. It didn't work. Edited May 27, 2021 by nomadpete 1 2
Jerry_Atrick Posted May 27, 2021 Posted May 27, 2021 Actually - what is it with the latest craze for middle-aged women wanting to dye their hair grey? I may be coming across as sexist here, but my partner did it and, apart from the style suiting her, it just makes her look older (of course, I haven't told her that, but for someone who normally looks 10 years her junior, it is a very strange thing to do). 1
Yenn Posted June 1, 2021 Posted June 1, 2021 I have had a beard for over fifty years and on the rare occasions that i have shaved it off most people don't recognise me, but a few will not even notice that I have shaved, they are the ones who recognise me by my eyebrows, which were also copied by John Howard. 1
