I think you might be confused again Marty, the word was byproduct, without bulls the dairy industry would not be sustainable, much like the ALP.

Tassie will be very rich soon....they are the biggest growers of poppys in Australia....and you know what comes from poppys

We could have a thriving hemp industry too but the state government stalled on easing restrictions until late last month. Better late than never I guess.

Without a certain TurnBull in the lead job, the LNP will be very unsustainable.

Newman has resigned, Queensland back on track

OK F_T,

What about the $87b debt ---Which will be the correct track for the debt reduction in this case..????

There is only two ways:- (1) Reduce spending or (2) Increase tax.. Which would you like?? Not hard your choice.

See Greece con not pay their interest bill, I do not want that.

It will be interesting to see how someone, if elected, who did not know what the GST % amount is will deal with the debt problem now asset sales are off the table.

I suspect Keith you will be paying more taxes in the not too distant future. It's not the end of the world.

Will be --- when the tax equates to 100% of ones income......

While the tax is getting to the 100% mark who is going to pay the grocery bill.

Put in simplistic terms.... With the house hold budget when ya finding ya running short, I know I can not go and ask for a pay rise --- just a case of winding back on the spending.

The other very important point *there is no money about that is why the interest rate is so low and the lowering again last week.

Labor had no asset sales as it's policy but there was no mention what the alternative would be, I wonder if that even crossed their minds.

That is a good point ---- these bush accounts here most likely did not twig to that as well. ""Just raise the tax.""?????

An honest mistake is preferable to to secret deals fir "special" Individuals. Nev

Hardly an honest mistake Nev, more like gross ignorance, what secret deals? How do you know about them if they are secret? Is this like the story about Costello's so called deals for his friends no facts then and most likely none now

They (labor) sold of QLD Rail I don't know whether that was good idea or not, but they got their fingers burnt. Doesn't seem popular in WA where prices charged have gone through the roof for rail freight. Think I'd prefer a gov't monopoly than a private one. Nev

""Just raise the tax.""?????RegardsKP.

Can you imagine just how far the tax would have to be raised? The reason why the debt went up under CN was because we have trouble just paying the interest.

Look every man and his dog in Australia knows the GST is 10%. So Anna had a very small brain fart in front of a camera. Doesn't even begin to compare with Tony Abbott's clench-jawed silence on an interview a while back.

The tax rate only hits 45% when you get to $180,000 and doesn't go up again after that. I think your groceries are safe.

Hello,

Gnarley Gnu -- had the Australian debt equated to equal personal debt for every person in Australia, check it on post '66..

Now Marty yes the rate is 45% that is for income tax.. That is federal tax we are talking about state tax here.

State tax:- Traffic fines -- you will find we will not be able to move without collecting a ticket. Electricity will go up, Rego up, plus all the other sate tax, what about the state goverment services they will go from the regional areas and be all placed in the south east corner.

What will be next for Queensland Rail?

Maybe Costello snubbed him Richard, it didn't take much to find his Big Conspiracy to be Pure Imagination, and the "secret deals" will be more rubbish from the extreme laft.

Rubbish to both of you. I suppose the Fitzgerald inquiry was all leftie BS. Talk to people like him. As I told you guys I don't make up stuff. You just don't do your homework with politics. Do you know that's true or did you read it in the Murdoch press?

Fella's I really don't care whether you believe me or not actually, but don't just do the Leftie BS if you claim any intellectual status at all. Nev

No point going off at a tangent, or even dragging in the Murdoch Press, whatever that's supposed to represent.

You challenged us to find out for ourselves, I did and found that your claims were not true, and on the public record as not being true.

It wasn't me not doing homework.

You found some one who put out an official party version of it. Big deal..

What's written in the papers doesn't affect opinions?? Of course what is written (or not written) there is important.. Why would people advertise otherwise? Front pages and billboards aren't effective? Shock jocks don't alter peoples opinions? . Nev

Keith, its too late now old mate, you voted for the ALP and they are in power for at least 3 years more likely 9 if Springborg is the new leader of the LNP. I thought an intelligent bloke like yourself would have known what he was voting for.

Consider this though, the assets had been sold the new owners would have jacked up the prices of electricity, port services etc. either way its money out of your pocket no matter where that money goes.
