Nev, it might depend on what browser you use. I use Firefox as the main browser and the Guardian page always loads a popup. I can click it off and then have no more problems. Some paywalls and popups can be bypassed by disabling javascript in your browser, but not all of them. With Firefox, I have an add on javascript toggle on/off widget on the toolbar. Very handy and gets used a lot; saves you having to go into settings to disable/enable javascript.

It opened up on some other platform for me without subscription. I'm too dumb to understand IT. I only fly aeroplanes and it seems you have to be pretty dumb to do that. Nev
