Old Koreelah Posted February 20, 2022 Author Posted February 20, 2022 …including my MiL, who was very sick as a child and one of the first to benefit from this new miracle drug. Without penicillin my wife would never have existed nor my kid or her littlies! 1
Jerry_Atrick Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Sadly, I am of the genre that will be killed in virtually an instant.. 2
Jerry_Atrick Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 (forgot to put into context - extremely allergic to penicillin). 1
nomadpete Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Look onthe bright side .. No allergy to red wine? 1
Jerry_Atrick Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 (edited) Only too much of it... Thankfully, still don't get hangovers.. but I end up with a headache when I realised what I had purchased on eBay or Amazon, thinking how much I needed it at the time.. (and that includes a mini - which ended up not a bad buy and managed to get past the missus as it coincided with both her birthday and needing a new (used) car). By diligent experimentation I have found those without sulphur dioxide seem to cause less headaches. 2

spacesailor Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 (edited) The only remidy before penicillin was amputation for a lot of illnesses. I was the guinea pig for ' osteomyelitis ' . It took five years to remidy the disease in the bone marrow !. Three jabs three times a day, & another if you ate anything , ( with bloody knitting needles on those syringes ) Then l had a couple of years converlessing & learning to walk again , with my withered muscles. Much easier the second time around, learning to walk after my new hip. LoL spacesailor Edited February 20, 2022 by spacesailor Spelling 3
