willedoo Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 It's ridiculous. The FSB say she entered the Russian Federation using Donetsk Republic plates to avoid suspicion. If she had those plates, she couldn't have driven through Ukraine with them, so would have to have entered Russia from the Donetsk Republic. So did she put on false plates, then with her daughter cross the battle front lines in her Mini Cooper from Ukraine held territory to the Republic. Bearing in mind, the FSB say she was identified on Russian social media in April as being an Azov Battalion member. If true, that alone would have her on the Republic's wanted list. As the story goes, she then went to Moscow and rented an apartment in the same building that Darya Dugin lived in. While in Russia she used Kazakhstan plates on her car, also to avoid suspicion. She then spent a month following Darya Dugin and her father's movements. In between all this, she's obtained a car bomb from somewhere. After the bombing, she's crossed into Estonia with her blonde hair dyed dark, this time with Ukrainian plates. So she's entered the country with Donetsk Republic plates to avoid suspicion, but used Ukrainian plates for the trip from Russia to Estonia. The video footage shows her and her daughter at border crossings entering and leaving Russia, and also security footage of her entering Darya Dugin's apartment building. The three photos below are stills at the end of the video presentation, and show the three different number plates. Well, according to the FSB, that is. What they actually show is a very poor photoshop attempt. Ten year olds have better graphic skills than these clowns. It wouldn't surprise me if the woman in the video was an FSB agent role playing. 1
willedoo Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Things are getting desperate. Russia Today (RT) is reporting under the headline 'Russian troops make significant advance in Ukraine – Moscow'. Then comes the story. Russian forces have advanced into Mykolaiv Oblast and taken control of twelve square kilometres. That equates to an area 4klm. by 3klm.. Wow. The Russians are coming. Putler must be ecstatic.
willedoo Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Meanwhile, while Moe and Curly Joe are busy, Larry has issued a statement: (Also from RT)... 'The Russian military campaign in Ukraine is progressing as intended, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has said. The relatively slow pace is the result of a conscious decision to protect civilian lives, he stated. Speaking at an international event on Wednesday, the minister stated that Russia “strictly follows the norms of humanitarian law” in Ukraine, countering claims to the contrary made by Kiev. “We do everything to avoid casualties among peaceful citizens. Certainly, it slows down the pace of the offensive, but we take this approach consciously,” he added.' 1 2 1
onetrack Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Can you believe the BS and propaganda they put out? What alternative reality do these Putinists live in, that they expect the wider world to believe this crap?
facthunter Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 It works in a lot of places , but it is pretty incredible when there's so much other evidence about. The giveaway is the harsh penalties for going against the Official line. Putin is a desperate person who has bent the rules for ages to keep in Power. . The Russian People have suffered under many such rulers for a long time.. The USA is paranoid about socialism as it threatens the HOLD winner take All capitalism has in the Money is GOD USA. so THAT promotes a string dictator leader needed that Putin relies on. Nev 2

Being a regular reader of Russian news, I've noticed a quantum leap in BS since the war began. Prior to that, I would have rated the believable to BS ratio at about 50/50. If you had a brain, you could read between the lines and cherry pick some reasonable information. But not now. The BS is about 99% and a lot of publications are barely worth reading. The sane people have left or been sacked and Laurel and Hardy have been installed as chief editors. Now it's very reminiscent of the comical Iraqi Information Minister's press statements back during the Iraq war. He had everyone rolling with laughter on a daily basis; he even obtained a cult like following for his comedy show. 1

They don't care what the wider world believes as long as their own population either believes it or is too scared to tell anyone if they don't. 1 1
willedoo Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Downtown Kiev, where they've made an open air museum of destroyed Russian armour. This photo says it all.
Jerry_Atrick Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 The UK, for the first time in EONs did not import any Russian fuel for a month. And our imports of Russian goods dropped 95%.. I suppose someone still needs their caviar. There was a debate on the radio, and a Ukranian put it nicely... The cost of the war in high energy prices is cheap compared to the cost Ukranians are paying. 2

It's no use vilifying Putin and barracking for Ukraine if we're not prepared to pay the price of higher fuel and energy costs and put up with a small dent in our pockets. Everything comes at a cost, and if we want Ukraine to win, all of us have to contribute. 2 2
facthunter Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Putin's a psycho who's unpredictable. I think the war will only be over when the Russian people wake up and realise it.. and how much it's costing THEM.. Nev 1

Marty_d Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Yeah but at least the USA have real elections - kind of. 1 1

Marty_d Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 I've only ever heard about Sky News, never watched it. If I want fiction I don't want it to have "News" in the title. 1
nomadpete Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Sky is worth watching just to know what the populace is being force fed. Whenever serious stuff is happening I try to watch a bit but usually the disjointed rantings annoy me. About five minutes a year is all I can take. 2

willedoo Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 (edited) The creativity of the Ukrainians never ceases to amaze. This is a lightweight dune buggy fitted with an anti tank guided missile system for rapid deployment against armour. A good idea; no protection but light, deadly and fast. They'll be using weaponised ride-on mowers soon. Edited August 25, 2022 by willedoo 1

willedoo Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 I came by this list of minimum confirmed losses among officer ranks of the Russians in Ukraine. Listed highest to lowest rank: 2 Lieutenant Generals 8 Major Generals 34 Colonels 71 Lieutenant Colonels 138 Majors 210 Captains 345 Senior Lieutenants 187 Lieutenants It's notable that there's over 100 Colonels and Lieutenant Colonels lost, particularly when you consider that those are Battalion and Regiment commander ranks. It's easy to see how morale is low in the field. Back home in Russia, the Army is holding their Army Games (complete with cooking competitions) as if nothing else is happening. At the same time, the Russian troops in Ukraine are struggling to get basic supplies. A mass mutiny wouldn't be surprising. 1
onetrack Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 There's a lot to be said for utilising equipment for military purposes that doesn't resemble military equipment - the surprise factor is always a worthy factor in military tactics. I see where Putin has signed into force, a decree boosting the Russian Army numbers - from 1.9M to 2.04M. I don't know where he's going to get the extra numbers, unless he starts conscripting people. https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/putin-signs-decree-increase-size-russian-armed-forces-2022-08-25/ 1 1
