Jerry_Atrick Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 Robbie Williams was my initial thought, too.. The ghost of Christmas past?
red750 Posted September 19, 2024 Author Posted September 19, 2024 Believe it or not, it's Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklarge. 2
old man emu Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 Without being terribly non-PC, I bet he hates his surname. 1
pmccarthy Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Could have been worse if the n was a c. 1
Marty_d Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 I don't think there's an "r" in his surname. Bloody good actor. 2
red750 Posted September 20, 2024 Author Posted September 20, 2024 You're right, my mistake. It's Peter Dinklage
red750 Posted September 20, 2024 Author Posted September 20, 2024 This one may not be that difficult. 1
red750 Posted September 20, 2024 Author Posted September 20, 2024 Gareth is correct. Rainman himself. This one might be a bit harder.

Litespeed Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 No it's just a distinctive face. No clue on the other
red750 Posted September 22, 2024 Author Posted September 22, 2024 The guy in the helmet and sunglasses is Kevin James, the star of King of Queens, preparing for a new role. Kevin James 1
red750 Posted September 22, 2024 Author Posted September 22, 2024 The King of Queens was produced by Hanley Productions and CBS Productions (1998–2007), CBS Paramount Network Television (2007), in association with Columbia TriStar Television (1998–2002), and Sony Pictures Television (2002–07). It was filmed at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California. The ninth and final season concluded with a double-length finale episode in 2007. The show exhibits undertones of the original 1950s TV production The Honeymooners, starring Jackie Gleason and Audrey Meadows. Doug (Kevin James) and Carrie Heffernan (Leah Remini) are a middle-class couple living at "3121 Aberdeen St." in Rego Park, Queens, New York, along with Carrie's father, Arthur Spooner (Jerry Stiller). Doug works for the fictional International Parcel Service (IPS) as a delivery driver, while Carrie works as a legal secretary in Manhattan. Their lives are plagued by the demands of Arthur; so much so that they eventually hire Holly, a professional dog walker, to spend time with him as she walks dogs in the park. (Wikipedia) The show plays daily on Foxtel Comedy Channel.
onetrack Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 Frankie Valli - looking every bit of his advanced age. It's pretty sad seeing these old entertainers unable to bow out gracefully, when age decline sets in.
red750 Posted September 27, 2024 Author Posted September 27, 2024 Correct. Still performing in his 90's.
Jerry_Atrick Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 Inland Revenue and back taxes can be a pain. Isn't that why Willie Nielsson (sp?) had to return to the stage? 1
onetrack Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 Willie Nelsons tax debt was a long, long time ago (1990), and he settled it for only a bit over half what the IRS originally demanded. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-country/flashback-willie-nelson-settles-irs-tax-debt-196254/ I think a lot of these performers keep performing because they haven't put enough aside for retirement, and they've established a high-cost luxury lifestyle, that must be funded with continual performing. Every "retirement tour" of old rock stars I've gone along to, has been a total disappointment, as they try to emulate what they were like 40 or 50 years ago, with a poor level of success. We're going along to see The Wailers in early November - Bunny Wailer died in March 2021, and Aston "Familyman" Barrett died in Feb this year, marking the passing of the last of Bob Marleys original band members. But the new generation of Wailers is continuing the reggae music! 2
