red750 Posted December 24, 2022 Author Posted December 24, 2022 His name is Sir Thomas Hicks. That may not mean that much to you. You may know him by his stage name, Tommy Steele. The clue? He originated the part of Kipps in Half a Sixpence in the West End and on Broadway, reprising his role in the 1967 film version. 1
pmccarthy Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 I reckon I barely knew of any of the people posted here in their original guises, let alone when they got old and ugly. I have found it an impossible challenge. 1 2
old man emu Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 If I told you that I did work out who he was , would that be a little white lie, or just a Little White Bull?
onetrack Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 Wouldn't have known the gent from a bar of soap. 1
facthunter Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 My brother went in for all this stuff and he never flew planes or rode motorcycles. Now I'm happily paying the price. I know nuffing. Nev 1
red750 Posted December 27, 2022 Author Posted December 27, 2022 No nibbles? OK.It's Jon Cryer, aka Alan Harper, from Two and a Half Men. 1
willedoo Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 I wonder if he's still as slick on the guitar as he used to be.
onetrack Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 Great to see him auctioning guitars for Ukraine. 1
willedoo Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 I haven't found out how much the guitars sold for at auction. All the google hits I could find predated the auction. Only four of them made. 1
onetrack Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 Sorry, I don't follow the poofy girly-boy scene, I had no idea who he was, even when you posted his name.

facthunter Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 We have a "Queens"land in Australia but Sydney makes the Most from it. Aren't the State Names pathetic? What IS a TAS mania.? West Australia How inspiring!. Victoria named after a Queen. NEW South Wales. How long will it be NEW? Nev. 1 1
Bruce Tuncks Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 Right yet again Nev. Melbourne is bad enough for a name but Victoria is worse.
Bruce Tuncks Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 And South Australia has at least 2 states ( TAS and VIC) which are obviously more South. 1
onetrack Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 Nev, get it right, it's WESTERN Australia, not WEST Australia.
