I'm a big fan,

will be looking to put my midget on it.

Admittedly its changed a lot. never used to need a RWC, was inspected by the club nominated officer.
and they added a bunch more restrictions and proof of use..... and the plates not being transferable is annoying, but understandable as its through the club signing everything off.

but the changes were because idiots with commodores were abusing the system. putting it on daily driven VN's etc... or V8 swapping cars without any engineering work being done.

(admittedly a few of us motorcyclists were also doing some stuff like building GSXR 7/11's)

what is a bigger Rort I think is the other states not letting you do seasonal registration,
here in SA as everything is online now for renewals. they let you pay for rego in 3 month blocks -
but you can leave the vehicle unregistered for the rest of the year. perfect for motorcycles

as opposed to Victoria where if the vehicle was unregistered for 3 months it need a RWC to be renewed.

You don't have to have annual inspections in Victoria on Classic Historic  veteran Vintaget etc vehicles. I'm in that system and I can roadworthy up to 1948 year plus grandfathered models. I can only do it for ONE particular club generally but if I was nominated by others of which I was a member that would be ok too.. Onus is on the individual owner to keep it roadworthy same as with a private aircraft.  Nev

I have been told " you can't drive , other than club outings " . ( not many a month ).

I need a car for normal daily drives, & as a pensioner concession holder, I don't pay registration cost .

45 or 90 days max down here.  You can go out by yourself if you want  to.  No activity of making a profit. (Like RAA.)   Vehicle has to be 25 years old in Vic More in other states. You have to log each ride. It works fine if people don't try to SPIV it. Some hot rods are using it with a lot of inspections. They love their stuff to death and are not a risk Off road bikes have a recreational option. It all covers your compulsory 3rd Party..  Nev

What turned me off !, was the ' club ride  ' out to an event , did NOT include the Return ride back home .

It had to be " logged " as a general day, another day taken from your meagre entitlement.

Same as RAA tell them you flew a circuit in your Hummel Bird.

Then get busted for illegal flying .

Say nothing and get Deregistered from Their register.

"All day every day"?. I've told you a million times not to exaggerate.  I doubt you could justify full registration on a Walla and there's better bikes for doing Uber eats, OME.

90 days a year is a lot of time,
that's 85% of weekend use for the year. (7 weekends short of the full year)
or 3 months of daily use.

for a genuine classic car - not a daily driven car/bike that just happens to fall into the over 25yr category.
that's more then enough.

and for a daily driven the logbook would be a PITA

yeah, but still need a RWC to transfer it over to club rego.
when it first was introduced that wasn't a requirement, was just signed of like a pre-1948 vehicle.

Didn't last long as it was abused by the commodore/falcon modified vehicle community.

There are variations from state to state, that I'm not across.  It's a better system than the earlier one where you only went on club listed events and was too hard for the Police to enforce. They got their fingers burned at a Bendigo swap when the booked everybody with a red plate and found out most of them were listed  in the relevant Club Magazines or a letter from the club secretary Nev

Who is this independent tribunal that grants politicians and public servants huge pay increases (the biggest in 10 years) when Mums and Dads are going without meals and heating? Have they taken their heads out of their arse long enough to see what's going on in the real world? And what about Richard Marles booking RAAF jets to fly him from Brisbane to Sydney for the Matildas, then back again, and fly him to Avalon because it's "too difficult to take a chauffer driven limo from Tullamarine to Geelong"? Money going up in smoke, which is polluting the atmosphere with the jet exhaust.

On the independent tribunals - it is absolute BS.. Firstly, not all MPs are equal, and secondly, who employs this "independent" tribunal. Of course, there has to be some way to review pay of MPs objectively (maybe the Monrach's representative - and making the monarch pay their salaries - you would get a much more robust process).  I think with the last government, an objective pay review would have seen serious reductions based on value; and the opposition probably not much better.

If true re the transport, absolutely disgraceful (does Jetstar no longer fly to Avalon?) I guess they think if Bronnie Bishop can do it, so can they.

Just another beat-up The pollies haven't had many increases in the last while so the BIGGEST doesn't mean much. If they do their job properly they are NOT overpaid. They don't know they will have it beyond the next election either, and their private lives are in jeopardy at the whim of the rotten media. Nev

Macquarie bank CEO,  took home $ 53 million annually! .

One $ million each week , ! for one , couldn't spend that amount of money .

I mean , you could buy " the evil leprechaun " s . $ 25million house twice-over .

And still have $ 3 million left over .

Retired ex primeministers  have 3 fully paid for advisers with fully funded offices.

As well as their six figure pensions.  ( a quick google ) .

The W.A. Govt is stepping up to the plate, tightening laws around political donations, making them more transparent, and more importantly, making the donations appear publically within 24 hrs of being made. They're small steps towards political accountability and disclosure, but they're useful ones.
