I often wonder at what point, or for what reason, Rogerson went from a genuine good cop, and turned into a common murderous crim? His innate morality and ethics must have been weak from the very beginning.

The irony is that if he was making a heap of money from criminal activities, he didn't exhibit wealth. He lived in a modest house in a blue collar suburb. I think he owned a Cherokee, but that's no worse that having a membership in a posh golf club. When I met him he was quite an affable sort of bloke. My meetings were just because he happened to be visiting one of his friends who ran a welding business I was taking repairs to.

I see that Channel 7 has acquired a copy of the Police Occurrence Pad entry relating to the death of Lanfranchi. The incorrectly call it his "statement". It's not. It's a summary of the circumstances and a checklist of who was told about it; who collected crime scene evidence and who dealt with the Report of the death to the Coroner. He might have signed it, but that is only as the creator of the entry on the Occurrence Pad. It could not be used in a Trial because, technically, it wasn't made of his "free will" . Making the entry was a requirement that had to be met to follow procedural rules. In other words, making the entry was a job requirement.

Quite possibly. Not many recall that roller skates in that era needed to be adjusted with a key. She had a new pair of roller skates, and he had a brand new key. He had what she wanted, she said. Take that in any number of ways.

Bob Rogers: Sydney radio legend dies at the age of 97 as tributes flock in from devastated fans

Australia's longest serving DJ Bob Rogers has died at the age of 97.

The radio legend sadly passed away at his Mosman home surrounded by his family, with tributes flocking in from devastated fans.

The 2CH broadcaster - who famously toured with The Beatles - is survived by his devoted wife of 74 years, Jerry, and their four daughters.

'He really was a legend, he was a radio icon in Australia. He will be badly missed.'

During his 78 years on Sydney airwaves, Bob carved out a hugely successful radio career and memorably presented Australia's first Top 40 show back in 1958.

In a huge career highlight, he was also sent to London in 1964 to join The Beatles as they made their way Down Under for their one and only Australian tour.

Before his retirement in October 2020, Bob had presented the six-hour Saturday night Reminiscing program for more than 20 years on Sydney radio station 2CH.

Fans took to social media to pay tribute to Bob as they shared their devastation over the sad news of his passing.

Last night my sister, in her late 70s, commented that it concerned her that so many people are dying in their 70s. She's still very active - some say too active - but there is still that thought in the back of one's mind. It doesn't help her that one of her activities, being involved the the RSL is that she is the one who arranges the RSL's participation in the funerals of ex-service personnel. from the district.
