Couldn't help myself. I had to google Mr Rabbits infamous gaff. The Net never forgets!

Some good did come of it. His announcement that nobody is the suppository of all wisdom has inspired a book titled "The Suppository of all Wisdom"

So there!

I've just written a song about Tony for a local comedy night this Saturday

What can you do with Olivia's "Let's get physical"

I thought it could start  with "Let's get political"

Yep, that gets a mention,  along with $100 roasts, "ditch the witch", 3 word slogans, budgie smugglers, raw onions, knighthoods, choppergate, Joe Hockey, etc... there's so much I had a hard time keeping it down to 4 verses.

I remember when Abbott said he was going to shirt-front Putin. He did nothing of the sort.

BUT in ww1, the NZ PM apparently shirt-fronted the pommy pm over the awful waste of NZ boys " Shot like rabbits against a fence"

He lifted the pommy guy off the ground by grabbing his shirt-front.

Good on him, says I.

It's very depressing going around New Zealand and seeing the monuments with all the deceased persons on them.. New Zealand losses where very high for a Small Country. War is Madness, especially the next one will be.  Nev

In 1915 the population of NZ was only 1.1 million & 10% served overseas, way more than anywhere else. There are some wonderful stories of the Maori boys at Gallipoli who always performed a Haka before going in to battle. Scared the crap out of the Turks but they got shot to bits like the rest of our lot due to the crap idea and tactics employed. The Maoris invented guerilla warfare but were prevented from using such tactics there.

The Maori used trenches, forts, muskets and cannon in their wars against the Pakeha. Born warriors. One story from that time has the white fellas running out of gunpowder and the Maori so enjoying the fight that they gave them some more ammo.

Well documented history only spoiled by abominable pronunciation of Maori names. I think they use a Chatbot to turn text to language hence that terrible pronunciation & American accent.

Saw a meme on FB showing Rolf's ashes urn. The comment was it should be mixed with urinal cakes and put in urinals so people could p1ss on them.

Not being fully familiar with the Rolf Harris trial, and only previously being aware that he was jailed for groping several young girls - I was surprised to find the news revealing that the attention brought to bear on Rolf Harris was initiated by a tradie finding a big stash of child pornography videos hidden in his house many many years ago. So that was the catalyst to focus attention on him.

He really was a Jekyll and Hyde character - highly gifted in artistry and entertainment skills, but with a really dark side that he even appeared to hide from his wife and daughter.
