dazza 38 Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 I would hate to pay the bills of a V8 Race team.Looks extremely expensive.
bushpilot Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 The side-shows are as big as the Race: We operate just 5NM from Mount Panorama so we get to see some of the action - heaps of visiting a/c including some very nice corporate jets, plus flyovers by the Hornett and Roulettes, who are based on our field for 3 days. We had a really good experience with the Roulettes on Friday - I was with one of our students and she was landing on the cross-strip as the Roulettes were positioning 3NM out to land on the main strip... So she offered (on the radio) to hold short of the main-strip to allow them a straight in approach. But rather than land immediately, the Roulettes thanked us with a 50' pass over us in formation, then a fan-separation at the end of the runway.. Amazing experience at such close range - but we didnt have our iPhone cameras! See some ground pics at: http://www.facebook.com/CentralWestFlying Cheers, Chris

alf jessup Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Hey, my option is not on there. It should have "A car with a driver in it." as an option! Seriously, the most competitive guy on the track has to be Whincup. It's that Whingecup you mean Scott, the most competitive at whining, he definetly leads the race in that class. Alf

Tomo Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Ford got the idea years ago when they put a circle around the problem. Hence the new Ford badge...
