I saw a photo the other day of a hamburger in which the bun had been replaced by two pineapple donuts.     ...spew!...

I feel bad with 20kg more on me than I should. Some of the people on tv shows like 1000lb sisters are being enabled, they don’t walk or drive to the junk food shops. They can barely move in a modified house.

That's a 24kg load off your body that can only be highly beneficial to you. That's the same as carrying around a container holding 24 litres of water, all the time.

24 litre container of water !.

It's called the " Belly " . LoL

The " bmi  " is ridiculous  ! . A ' one armed ' Lady with ' One leg ' will never be " obese " .

Nomatter how fat or short she may be .

I'm 30 kg over my index for hight, so remove a leg or some other part , & it will make me .

" PERFECT "

Why?

Living on my own means that I have to divide up pre-packaged food into serving sizes for convenience when preparing a meal. If I buy a tray of half a dozen lamb chops, I make up three lots of two. Same with a packet of sausages and such. I quite enjoy Leggos ravioli, and buy a 630 gm package. That can be split into three meals.

As I was doing this today, the thought struck me, "Why 630 gms?"  I wanted to find out why did Leggos decide on that size. Perhaps it had something to do with the packing machinery they were using. Maybe it was old equipment from before metrification. I wanted to know what 630 gms was in pounds and ounces. Turns out that 630 gms is 1.375 pounds, 22 ounces, or 1 lb 6 oz. Either Metric or Imperial it's a weird measurement. Even their suggested serving size of 199 gms is 7 ounces. Which is even stranger when they say that there are four servings in the packet.

The only other reason I can think of is that the packaging is based on the weight of one piece of ravioli and the number of pieces that make up 630 gms. But today I am too busy baking fruit cake for this week's morning tea, and double choc-chip muffins for dessert at night to count how many pieces there are in the packet.

It was probably originally 700gms, but the beancounters decided the company profits were too low, so they shrank the size of the packet, trusting that no-one noticed the smaller size.

Between the two of them they could go droving.

ALL of that rightly should be adjusted for the mileage you do to be fair.

But is using mileage equitable? When I lived in Sydney it was 5 kms to my nearest Bunnings and major shopping centre. Where I live now it is 10 kms to the supermarket, and a trip to Bunnings is a total of 150 kms. So just to do the things I did in Sydney, I travel many more kms. Sure, it's my decision to have moved, but what about the people born and bred in rural towns? Fortunately the old disparity in petrol prices between metropolitan areas and country has now gone. In fact petrol is often cheaper out here than where I used to live in Sydney.
