Phil Perry Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 OK, if it's real, then this bloke really ought to go and pick some lottery numbers. It's CCTV footage, so be patient. . . . emailed to me today, just in case you think I use BookFace on a regular basis. . . .( I'd rather eat bits of Ken Dodd's Dad's Dead Dog before I'd do that voluntarily ! ) Phil
facthunter Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 There IS a GOD.. I wonder what golfers have done wrong? Nev.
Old Koreelah Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 There IS a GOD.. I wonder what golfers have done wrong? Nev. Bleedingly obvious to me. Wasting a good walk.
facthunter Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Is that enough for god to hit them with a lightning bolt? Nev
Old Koreelah Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 You know He works in mysterious ways.
facthunter Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Yes. I've heard that. Being god, anything would be possible. I'm somewhat surprised believers imagine they can fool him/her, when he/ she isn't looking. HELL I'm just sinned bringing up religion on the forum, but those two bolts of lightning on the bad guy have had a profound effect on me. Sorry Ian, I won't do it again. One I could just pass off, but two in close proximity. WoW.Nev
Litespeed Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Actually it was Thor just having fun after a night on the drink. Thor also hates golfers because the put kinks, trees, hills and sand traps in perfectly good emergency landing areas.
Phil Perry Posted September 19, 2015 Author Posted September 19, 2015 AND I'M SORRY TWICE EVERYBODY. . . . . 1) FOR BEING OFF (aviation) TOPIC,. . . and: 2) [ I forget the other thing,. . .er,. . . . ]
Marty_d Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 There IS a GOD.. I wonder what golfers have done wrong? Nev. Walking around in a cleared area in an electrical storm and swinging a metal rod high above their head?
Phil Perry Posted September 20, 2015 Author Posted September 20, 2015 Glad I said "IF IT'S REAL" in my introduction, There was nowt about it on snopes at that point , although the "Thickness" of the bolts seemed a bit smaller than those I've managed to get in photographs. . . What was the old sying ? . . believe NONE of what you see and only 1/64 of what you find on tinternet,. . ., and you'll get a good average . . . Got a few good Golf jokes out of it though, so the thread wasn't a total waste of time ! ! Phil
facthunter Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 And I was only kidding about god. and I reckon Golf is a joke, especially when you get in a buggy to save the walking. Nev
eightyknots Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 ... What was the old sying ? . . believe NONE of what you see and only 1/64 of what you find on tinternet,. . ., and you'll get a good average . . . ... Phil ...and only believe 0.1 % of the "facts" passed around the BaceFook website!
Bruce Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I read somewhere that you were 20 times more likely to be struck by lightning than to win cross lotto. Well the 20 times seems a bit excessive, but this story helps me explain to people why I don't buy lotto tickets. But surely there are not 20 strikes for every lotto winner? Anybody on this forum won lotto? Or been struck by lightning?
Phil Perry Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 Bruce,. . . . with Adobe Photoshop and a couple of add-on programs, you could photoshop yourself a winning ticket ?
planedriver Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 This shocking story is just a "flash in the pan", but very illuminating Phil.
eightyknots Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 This shocking story is just a "flash in the pan", but very illuminating Phil. I am really glad that we are now getting some enlightenment in this thread!
