onetrack Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 As we were wrecking red750's "Silly Signs" thread with toilet talk, I did some "Japanese toilet" research, and found this video .... 1 1
nomadpete Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 The work of a master Specialist! But probably too costly for our stingy local council. 1
spacesailor Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 When enquiring for " public toilets " . We are often directed to the pubs . & hotels . spacesailor 1

facthunter Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 I wouldn't think of looking for Hen's teeth in either of those places but it's a while since I lived in Sydney. Nev 1
spacesailor Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Try the ' railway ' station. Bigger cities have more than One . It's the countryside villages without amenities. spacesailor
red750 Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 (Almost) all McDonalds and Hungry Jacks have toilets. Have used them a lot over the years. Not sure of KFC, rarely visit there. Not necessary to buy anything. 1
spenaroo Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 here you go: https://toiletmap.gov.au/ the government has an app for it too 1 1

nomadpete Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Public toilets anywhere..... Red I hope I am not drifting the core principles of this thread, but...... A Dutch friend once told me that there is only one Dutch phrase you really need in Holland.... "Var ist da vasay?" (Where Is the WC?) Pretty sure the equivalent applies in Japan. 1
spacesailor Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 NOW, Can we get ' internet coverage ' , wherever we go ! . So that government ap is available . spacesailor
nomadpete Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Just now, red750 said: Not in Japan, but this is toilet related. Well it sure is door related. But I don't believe it. 1
facthunter Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 It would actually be rather difficult to muck it up that way. Nev
