Bruce Tuncks Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Nope, no collection of my own stethoscopes. But I once borrowed one and heard nothing come through it. They sure do look convincing tho, the doctors I mean. 1
Bruce Tuncks Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Getting back to the real subject, the issue is not about giving your life for your offspring, but giving it up for somebody else's offspring. 1
facthunter Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I'm not sure going "Slam No Trumps" will get traction in the USA. Nev
spacesailor Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I find the ' drs ' stethoscope ' is no good to hear a heart , as it doesn't improve the sound . An amplified microphone will give marvellous rendition of any heart malfunction. But , that OLD mechanics stethoscope Will find that squeaky bearing every time . spacesailor 2
facthunter Posted January 16 Posted January 16 "SQUEEKY Wheels get attention first. You can pick a "Shot" bearing by when it knocks. Listen after you change the filter and before the oil gets there, for a start.. Short a plug out to get a big end knock. Main bearings knock under load.. Nev 2
onetrack Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I knew a gun Holden mechanic in the late 1960's, who could pick up a worn big end by "floating" the bearing load. He'd run the engine up to about 2000RPM, then lower and raise the RPM just a 100 or 150RPM each side of his chosen throttle setting. It was interesting hearing the bearing knock, as he did this. 1 1
Bruce Tuncks Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Yep, the Iowa result reinforced to me that the republicans are in big trouble. To get onto the ticket, you need to support Trump. But supporting Trump will cost you 5 percent of the real vote. Gosh, I hope that this is correct. 1 1
