red750 Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Indigenous activist Robbie Thorpe leads Camp Sovereignty at Kings Domain, an area where the rains of some aborigines have been buried and the area is controlled by the group. They now want all of King's Domain, which includes the Shrine of Remembrance, and the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, and have it renamed to remove all connection to the "criminal Windsor family'. Leading the demands is Robbie Thorpe's neice, Lydia Thorpe. 1
nomadpete Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Oops, I rather think this demand is about 200 years too late. 1
old man emu Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Let them have it. And we'll take back all access to the Public Purse and public utilities for everyone of them who wants to live on it. 2
Bruce Tuncks Posted February 1 Posted February 1 I agree OME. If they want reparations, let them be billed for all the largess they have reaped over the last 200 years. 1
red750 Posted February 5 Author Posted February 5 The native Americans are complaining just as much. 1
Marty_d Posted February 5 Posted February 5 This is beaten up by the RWNJ press as they know a good dog whistle when they see one. Just like any vocal minority there's probably only a very few indigenous people who make sovereignty demands, but the merde-och press and their cronies play it up to scare the gullible that they're comin' for your land. 1
facthunter Posted February 5 Posted February 5 IS THAT the TRUTH Or did you read it in the Merdoch Press?. Waste of time and effort to read the stuff. Nev
onetrack Posted February 5 Posted February 5 The Maoris are up in arms, too, just because the new NZ Govt wants them to attend school at a better rate. There's only a third of Maori kids at school, at any one time. That's worse than the Abo's here. 1

old man emu Posted February 5 Posted February 5 There's a suburb in Sydney where the three levels of juvenile education are located side-by-side - Primary School, Secondary School, Juvenile Detention Centre. 1 1
spacesailor Posted February 6 Posted February 6 I see the " woke " people are trying to change the mame of " Settlers walk " . New signs erected, " great West walk " . From local history, the walk was from Parramatta ( 2nd settlement) To " government farm Toongabbie "( 3rd settlement ) . Soon we will have to call Parra . " Burramatta or Burramattagal or even Bramada ". spacesailor 1 1
facthunter Posted February 6 Posted February 6 There's a place called Camels Hump not far from me but we all knew that. Nev 1
onetrack Posted February 6 Posted February 6 They must do, there's always plenty of young camels coming on. 2
Popular Post old man emu Posted February 7 Popular Post Posted February 7 Oh, the sexual life of the camel Is stranger than anyone thinks. In moments of amorous passion, He frequently buggers the Sphinx. But the Sphinx's posterior passage Is clogged with the sands of the Nile, Which accounts for the hump on the camel, And the Sphinx's inscrutable smile. 1 5
willedoo Posted February 7 Posted February 7 6 hours ago, Marty_d said: If they're dromedaries, do they hump twice as much? Marty, a Dromedary only ever has one hump. It's the Bactrian camel that's the lucky one. 1

Bruce Tuncks Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I'm for the idea of "tough love" to make abo kids go to school. Mind you, it would be expensive to reward the good kids with jobs one day, but I reckon this is reasonable.
Bruce Tuncks Posted March 2 Posted March 2 (edited) PS... didya hear about the new chum at the foreign legion? He asked an old hand what they did for sex.... " well old Ali brings a bunch of camels twice a week" he was told " as a matter of fact I can hear him coming now" and he runs off... " why the hurry? " says the new guy ... "surely you don't want an ugly one," says the runner over his shoulder. Edited March 2 by Bruce Tuncks 2
Marty_d Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I heard it was the new lieutenant who asked quietly what they did for sex. The sarge said "Well, there's a camel..." and the lieutenant raced off to get a step ladder. After he was done the sarge finished his sentence "...which the lads ride in to the nearest town to visit the brothel!" 1 2
facthunter Posted March 2 Posted March 2 The original one is quite long but you have the essence of it. . Do you know why the Camel is called the "Ship of the Desert"? Geez we are getting decadent. Nev 2
