The Great English Migration of the mid-1960s

In the mis-1960s there seemed to be a massive immigration of English people to Australia. Even "Whinging Poms who had gone back to England in the early 60's came back. I have often wondered what triggered that mass migration, and I have just found out.

Program about it on  the History channel the other night. Australia badly needed migrants for labour, and the White Australia Policy strictly limited where they could come from. Arthur Caldwell was in charge.

Now , we have the ' opposite ' situation. 

A smaller percentage of " all " the Comonwealth Countries  .
