He wants those he views as "treasonous" (i.e., spoken against him, or against his policies), killed. He specifically stated he wanted Mike Pence "hung". He wants to put Liz Cheney on a military tribunal trial for opposing him (even though she has never been part of any military organisation - such is Trumps dangerous idiocy). He has promoted violence, assaults and overthrow of the Nations prime seat of political governance. He can look in the mirror to see the primary reason for the violent act of attempted assassination against him. This article is from 4 years ago! It's the "combat" glory he's always sought - even though he's a noted draft dodger - he still wants to be seen as a war hero. More likely, Trump has rehearsed what to do on stage in the event of something like that happening. He's smart enough to know that in that type of situation he can either look weak or strong depending on his actions at the time. The Secret Service broke their own protocol by allowing him to stick his head up and do it, and making himself a clear target in the process. I thought he may change the gun laws so that only verified Republican supporters can buy guns, but the shooter was a Republican supporter from reports I have heard.
