red750 Posted August 16 Posted August 16 I don't often drive after dark, but I was out tonight doing some late night shopping, and on the way home, I travel down a street with speedhumps every 80 to 100 metres. A car with what I assume were LED lights was coming towards me, and every speedhump flicked up the front of the car and the light flash was almost blinding.
spacesailor Posted August 16 Posted August 16 High Intesity Discharge lights, on the upmarket vehicles. Very blinding . Were you loose your night vision quickly. My cars has OEM Washers for those lights .but can't find a switch anywhere. spacesailor
onetrack Posted August 16 Author Posted August 16 It's the "projector-style" headlights that do that concentrated light blinding effect - and they don't need LED globes to do it, they do it with ordinary halogen globes. SWMBO's 2012 Camry Atara has this style of headlight, and I always ensure they're set properly for height. I wouldn't bother with LED globes in the Camry, it's got bloody good lights just with the Night Breaker halogens.
facthunter Posted August 22 Posted August 22 THAT wouldn't be "SHOPPED" by any chance would it Red?. How will WE KNOW whether it is or NOT? You will be like the Boy who cried "WOLF". Nev 1
