Is Nev ok?

Wondering if anyone's heard from Nev (Facthunter).  He hasn't been on this site or Rec Flying for over a week (Aug 28) which is unusual for him.

Just hoping he's ok.

I remember him saying his wife was crook and in hospital. That was about ten days ago.

He was lining up for a knee operation himself as well - maybe that got dropped on him at short notice. I hope he's O.K. He might be a grumpy old bugger, but I like him, and he's very knowledgeable.

Is it true that Nev is really a 14 y/o girl who just pretends to be a wise old pilot?

Well, she's one hell of a child prodigy.  Not many 14yo's out there who know the ins and outs of everything from motorbike engines to 727's.

My daughter has been a " backyard " mechanic before she left school .

works at a Dubbo shop , something to do with ' motorcycles ' .

Lots of Harley riders have dropped in to have an engine tweak .

My stepdaughter was one of W.A. first female plumbers, and went on to work for the gas and oil service group, Schlumberger. She became an expert on drilling equipment and reconditioning complex oil/gas well drill bits.

She went on to gain an Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety Major from ECU, and became a senior OEHS manager in Beach Energy.

But Beach recently went on a major cost-cutting drive under a new CEO, and sacked 30% of their employees - including the stepdaughter. So, several of them formed energy consultancies, and she's just joined one of these consultancies, working with former co-workers - and now, they're REALLY into the big money!! Can you say "Consultancy Fees" for Global Corporations and Govts?? I thought she was on big money before, now her former salary at Beach is starting to look like chicken feed! The cunning part is, these people have formed consultancies that include renewable energy forms, so they're covering all their bases.

Sue won't be there as she is touring " outback Australia " .

Has a large ' forward fold ' camper , but has left it behind to use,

' swags '  on the tray of their Ute. 

But her partner will , visit you .

Nev is recovering from his Knee surgery in rehab so he will be back with Bells on very soon. Life would not be the same without Nev

Both still around. Thanks for the kind thoughts. Malcolm Frazer said "Life is not meant to be easy.".  Also there's ALWAYS SOMEONE worse off and you don't have to look far.. . I see LEO a bit Ian. Any messages?. Thanks again.   Nev
