MAKE AMERICA GRATE again at the expense of the rest of the World. It might be popular at HOME but where else?. It's BS anyhow. USA uses plenty of Chinese goods because it PAYS them to. Tariff s will be paid BY the USA people and it will be inflationary. CHEAP migrant labour keeps US agriculture going.. It's a $#!t for brains popularist effort. HE will (as usual but this time more so) do very well for HIMself and his Hangers on who once they have a free RUN will be very reluctant to surrender it.. That's the FUTURE. How Nice.  Nev

He didn’t work any wonders the first time when he said he’d fix everything and achieved practically nothing except tax cuts for the wealthy. Won’t be any better this time although it might be worse because he’s surrounded by some half-competent enablers who will do what he tells them.

Trump is a MALIGNANT NARCISIST & the best Con man the world has ever seen. That explains his MO IMHO. The problem is he is in charge of the most powerful country on earth (from tomorrow 3am), just.

China will soon take over. They already have the largest army & their navy is massive plus their technological rise has already outstripped Silicon Valley & their car industry is far larger than the US & Japan combined. China is the worlds factory & despite the problems with the property sector they don't have $37 trillion of debt. Chinas debt is less than $30 billion. Trumps most beautiful word in the English language (Tariff) will come back to bite him hard in the end.

The rest of the world will just have to ride out the impending chaos, backtracking and MAGA failures for the next 4 years.

China won't pill a drop of blood in destroying the USA,  China owns more than $859.4 billion in U.S. debt, representing about 2.6% of the total U.S. debt. China's navy cannot move its army anywhere near the USA, so it cannot invade. IMHO China is only sabre rattling about Taiwan to annoy the Yanks. They are like a kid running a stick along beside a picket fence to tease the dog in the yard.

What I wonder is if Trump orders a military action where there is not threat to the USA, would his military commanders go, 'yeah, nah'?

What are you laughing at Marty? Trump will work wonders, just wait and see.

If you believe that, I have a lovely bridge to sell you. Barely used!

He is what the world needs right now.

You have first option on that bridge, if Grumpy Old Nasho doesn't take it.  Don't miss out!  Deal of the century!  It's a very, very good bridge.  Best bridge ever.  Everyone says I sell the best bridges.

Empire.

As yet, he is not an unmitigated disaster.

Don't  jump the gun with doomy worries. So far, He has done little more than recite some more words.

Save your criticisms until he actually does stuff.

And try not to be too upset if he does something that turns out to be good.

They are now mirroring Russia, with Putin and the oligarchs holding the same power positions as Trump and his billionaires.

Yes, but with one big difference. Unlike Russia, there is more transparency. We all know the faces of the oligarcs!

My fear is that the new order is so brazen, it is unafraid to let the public see who these vested interests are!

I think it is right to fear his appointments.  Kennedy (a vaxx denier, if allowed to will be a disaster for public health.

Totally agree, Octave. And  apply that sentiment to all his rewards programme....(appointments).

Murdoch is absolutely Fawning all over him. Bad sign. Nev

If that's not the biggest red flag among many, what is?

Please don't think I am supporting  little donny.

But I do sympathise with his supporters.

Bureaucracies always grow like cancer. I don't doubt that a lot of agencies/departments need a big shakeup/downsizing, or even deletion. Governments have stopped acting in the interests of the majority. That is what won the voters over.

However I have little hope for the next four years.

Further, it will probably retard the politics of our own country.
