When discussing the rorting of social security funds, he quoted the most ridiculous stats.  1 person over 500 yo, 132 between 130 and 139, and similar in all age groups

The reason those Methuselahs appear in the figures is quite easily explained. Before computerisation, the data was recorded manually. When it was computerised, sometime in the 60s (?) the programming language used was COBOL. Apparently Musk's computer nerds never learned that language and so are unable to understand why those Methuselahs are in the data. Also, there may be a bit of false information in the reporting. The print out must be a spreadsheet with the data in columns. Apparently the data in the next column shows the date of the last payment to the recipient. and for the Methuselahs, those dates show last payments being made before the 1950s or 60s.

There are so many videos being published daily identifying the falsehoods of the Trump administration that it's impossible to remember which one contained the information I have related here. I can't search my viewing history because I can't remember the title of that particular video, or on which day I watched it.

Well stand by and watch other people die then, as long as it's not you blokes, that's right isn't it?

If Trump was taken out of the equation, Putin would still have field artillery nukes and willing to use them. Then what? Do you believe he won't use them? Just let opposing nations go in with troops to fight the Russians, and see what happens. Alternatively, and again, without Trump, NATO & Co and the US (under someone else), would continue to supply arms to Ukraine, at great long term cost, boosting Zelensky's determination to oust the Russian forces, and destroying more of Ukraine and his people. He'll have to resign, or he may just get sacked by his govt.

Trump is virtually out of the negotiations now, and US aid to Ukraine has stopped, so let's see what the rest of the World can do, make or break Ukraine, the latter seems likely.

Your arguments or position doesn't make sense..

Wars of the Putin type are, let's face it, forced immigration. Yet you are dead against immigration (way back you mentione about needing a far right minister to quash immigration). So, on the one hand you don't want legal immigration, or as is often incorrectly assertted illegal immigration of refugees, but on the other hand you will roll over for forced immigration.  Work that out, because I can't

And then, the liogic would be if those Chinese ships that ammassed in the Tasman sea decided to invade, you would just hand your land over without a fight..

And then you say OME's assertion that you are OK to do away with democracy [and the rule of law] meaning you are happy for people to take whatthey want from you is wrong?

I am totally confused.. what do you actually stand for?

I am aghast at this:

image.thumb.png.bb71cf39d5cf778ce963bf85f9de4f44.png

(From the Financial Times).

Trump was quoted by the CIA honcho as saying Kyiv is not committed to the peace process and they are pausing.

FFS., If this is not a clarion call to walk away from very long term strategic military partnerships with the US, then I don't know what is!

I hope there's some wiser minds in the intelligence community who work around the blockage in the white house.

Perhaps pass the required intelligence through another 5 Eyes partner, or simply keep delivering it through unofficial channels.

For decades the USA has claimed to be the World's Policeman. "To Protect and to Serve", has been the motto of the Los Angeles Police Department since 1963, subsequently adopted by many other police forces in North America. I guess it no longer is the motto of the World's Policeman.

Can those countries allied to the USA continue to trust its adherence to any agreement with them? If the Republican administration is tossed out in four years' time, will its replacement ever be trusted by the rest of the World?

The United States is being bled dry by being the Worlds policeman. Why do you think Trump is cutting waste and unnecessary costs?

Great! DJT is saving America by cutting unnecessary costs such as police, and other service providers.

So now it's Every man for himself! (There are there no other genders?)

Meanwhile, on Wall Street, Trump's work (or should one really say Project 2025's)  on the economy is creating a fire sale of stocks. Oh! People are losing money and jumping from tall buildings as they did in 1929. But the astute, i.e. the billionaires are waiting with cash in hand to purchase stocks at bargain prices. The billionaires simply have to sit pat until the market steadies and begins to rise again to reap in more wealth.

I'm pretty sure that in the middle of 2024 there were reports that stock market guru, Alan Buffet, was accumulating ready cash by selling shares at good prices. He wasn't preparing t finance a luxurious retirement. He saw what Trump's policy would cause and girded his loins for battle.

OME, it's Warren Buffett who is the major wealth-gatherer of the U.S. He's certainly as shrewd as they come, but I really do wonder why he has this obsessiveness with massive monetary wealth at his age? His wealth accumulation benefits only people who are already wealthy.

Because he wants more morons to keep voting for him. His "waste cutting" is destroying many American workers livelihoods, endangering many important U.S. Govt operations, and is designed to ensure Trump gains financially from it. How much do you think Elon Musk and Trump have already gained from their "employment" in waste-cutting moves?

People have to be employed to examine spending, if you do it from outside already-established Govt Depts and agencies. I can guarantee you Trump and Musk are benefiting hugely from this "waste-cutting".

There was a saying in Sydney, "Who would want to be the richest man in Rookwood?". Rookwood is a major cemetery in Sydney, located at Lidcombe.

Recently, thinking about Musk's enormous wealth, I thought it would be interesting to ask him where all his money will go after he dies.

He's a bit of a stud bull. He's fathered 14 children.

Please don't blaspheme about Rookwood cemetery. A digger from my platoon in basic training is buried there, killed in Vietnam by a camouflaged booby trap while on a "Search & Destroy" mission.

Any cemetery has the remains of someone's loved ones. Does this mean when driving through a small town you can't refer to the cemetery as "the dead centre of town"? Merely referring to a cemetery is not an attack on anyone buried in it.
