Jerry_Atrick Posted Monday at 08:58 PM Posted Monday at 08:58 PM (edited) Very Aston Martin-y, but I asked Chapt GPT to do concept sketches, and models of a sporty tourer with European lines but Aussie ruggedness. Heres what it did: And then the model: And, of course, right hand drive: And I like the two tone of the right hand drive much better... Not exactly what I was wanting, but not a bad effort for 1/2 hour... It even suggested a model name of Australis GT.. Edited Monday at 09:00 PM by Jerry_Atrick 1 1
rgmwa Posted Monday at 11:56 PM Posted Monday at 11:56 PM That's pretty impressive. All you need now is a next level 3-D printer. 1
nomadpete Posted Tuesday at 12:48 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:48 AM He didn't ask A.I. how this car would look if it was made in USA without materials that trump has tariffed out of availability. 1
red750 Posted Tuesday at 01:05 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:05 AM Not AI, but there was a story on Sunrise about a company, I think in Sydney, which has built a catamaran using one of the worlds largest 3D printers, 28 metres long by 8 metres wide. That's the printer, not the boat. 1
spacesailor Posted Tuesday at 04:47 AM Posted Tuesday at 04:47 AM I read the " cat " was 28 m long . Without my hearing-aid . spacesailor 1
pmccarthy Posted Tuesday at 04:56 AM Posted Tuesday at 04:56 AM How long is it WITH your hearing aid? 2
red750 Posted Tuesday at 05:05 AM Posted Tuesday at 05:05 AM Natalie Barr questioned the guy to clarify it was th printer. 1
spacesailor Posted Tuesday at 07:11 AM Posted Tuesday at 07:11 AM so ' how long ' the boat ? . spacesailor
red750 Posted Tuesday at 07:52 AM Posted Tuesday at 07:52 AM The boat is 55 ft long. The builder is Cure Marine from Qld. I rewatched the show on 7plus streaming, and I got the width of the printer wrong. It's 5 metres. If you want to watch the story, go to 7plus,com.au/sunrise. Drag the timer button through to 7:51 on the onscreen clock. 2
onetrack Posted Wednesday at 01:20 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:20 AM Yeah, but how much did it cost to build the 3D printer? 1
