red750 Posted Friday at 06:53 AM Posted Friday at 06:53 AM Another Musk failure. A Spacex Starlink rocket launched Thursday lost contact and crashed into the sea just minutes into the flight. 2
old man emu Posted Friday at 07:06 AM Posted Friday at 07:06 AM Because the NBN and Telstra connectivity is so bad up my way, lots of people, especially out of town, have gone to Starlink. My sister joined up recently and is very pleased that now she can get on with her volunteer work much more efficiently. I'm working off a Telstra 4G dongle, which work well. My place must be in good line-of-sight to the transmitter. 1
red750 Posted Saturday at 08:46 AM Posted Saturday at 08:46 AM Elon discovers another place millions of government dollars are being wasted. 1 2
Jerry_Atrick Posted Saturday at 08:55 AM Posted Saturday at 08:55 AM I have been meaning to write.. suely there is some waste in the $22bn annual contracts to SpaceX? 1 1

Jerry_Atrick Posted Saturday at 09:28 AM Posted Saturday at 09:28 AM Very clever... from a Musk perspective, of course.. Do you work for DOGE? 😉 1
red750 Posted Saturday at 10:43 AM Posted Saturday at 10:43 AM Here's an interesting insight into Elon. https://www.wownews.info/news/elon-musks-father-reveals-financial-help-he-and-his-family-receive-from-the-tesla-billionaire/
Jerry_Atrick Posted Saturday at 11:52 AM Posted Saturday at 11:52 AM I would be wary of the above 2.. musks father is known to have had a mine, and invested in his companies. The other about Carlos Slim has legs but a story like that would make it into the FT, and I haven't seen it yet 1
Marty_d Posted Saturday at 12:22 PM Posted Saturday at 12:22 PM Hope it's true. His actions need consequences and hitting his hip pocket as much as possible will be what causes him pain. For his role in funding the orange clown, getting him elected then his treasonous activities since with that dog of a DOGE, he should end up penniless.
onetrack Posted Saturday at 01:03 PM Posted Saturday at 01:03 PM The minor news reports are saying the news about Carlos Slim cancelling the Starlink deal are in the Mexico Daily Post - but I can find nothing on the MDP site to back that up, so I'd have to reckon it was a fine piece of disinformation, and patently untrue. 1 1

First, did Musk insinuate that Carlos Slim had links to a crominal gang. Secondly, billionaires wil not upend their supply contacts on emotion - that is why they are billionaires - unless it was grossly offensive. Billionaires are also people of vast resources, and may use them to get personally even, in that situation. He would unlikely use Chinese providers, as they are distrusted with the whole comms thing. Secondly, if he can't get a better deal and save money, which his team will always be looking at anyway, he won't move. Why would he want to pay more, or have the upheaval, or lesser service for the same? I have met one billionaire not too long ago.. they are a very different breed to you and me. 1 1
old man emu Posted Monday at 06:29 AM Posted Monday at 06:29 AM There's nothing fishy about TESLA's sales success in Canada.
